Evergreen State Open Carry activists are today promising a warm welcome for anti-gun Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s upcoming gun control bus tour if it visits the Pacific Northwest, according to messages posted over the past several hours on the Open Carry/Washington forum.
The billionaire anti-gun New York mayor is busy today using his bottomless bucket of bucks to bully a New Hampshire senator for voting against his background check scheme, the Manchester Union Leader reported. He is spending $400,000 on a ten-day advertising campaign against New Hampshire Republican Sen. Kelly Ayotte because she voted against the background check bill in the Senate; a measure the mayor wanted.
However, that pocket change expense isn’t going to delay next week’s launch of his 25-state, 100-day tour to push his brand of gun control. Besides, Ayotte is standing up to Bloomberg. Her spokesman, Jeff Grappone, made it clear to the newspaper that “Senator Ayotte won’t be bullied by a billionaire mayor or anyone else.”
Open Carry activists in Washington State are saying the same thing. They will not be bullied. Amid expanding revelations about government prying into the private lives of its citizens, as this column noted, the fact that a vehemently anti-gun politician with money to spread around like candy is spending years’ worth of average family incomes to target one female who stood up to him says a great deal about Bloomberg’s personality.
The OC crowd is chomping at the bit to greet the Bloomberg bus tour if it shows up north of the Columbia River.
It is still not clear whether Bloomberg’s anti-gun rights tour will visit Washington, where some believe he will dump dollars into an effort to buy the privacy rights of more than a million gun owners via a background check initiative campaign. What is clear to Northwest gun rights activists is that the mayor evidently believes that his piles of money somehow give him the right to dictate his lifestyle to everyone else.
Mayors Against Illegal Guns has yet to post an itinerary for the gun prohibition bus tour, or whether Bloomberg will personally participate.

If the tour carries over into next month, does that count toward qualifying him for nanny of the month for July?
LOL
Looking forward to seeing how TX (not legally Open Carry, yet Extremely pro. 2nd amendment) welcomes them. (I’m just guessing that it is one of the 25 states 😉 )
Definitely no need for them to tour this state.
The POS trash that pass for politicians here are already in total agreement with that moron.
In fact, it would appear they’re doing their best to outdo him.
Nope, they got Cali., long ago.
Unfortunately, yes.
