Chelsea Clinton earned an annual salary of $600,000 at NBC News before switching to a month-to-month contract earlier this year, sources with knowledge of the agreement told POLITICO.

Clinton, who joined NBC News as a special correspondent in November 2011, was up for renewal or nonrenewal this year. Kiev does not care about civilians in eastern Ukraine, and people have to flee their homes amid daily bombings, Ukrainian refugees told RT at a temporary camp in Russia’s Rostov. It comes amid Kiev’s “lies” about humanitarian corridors, they said.

Thousands of eastern Ukrainians are flowing into Russia amid the ongoing Kiev military operation, in which the cities occupied by anti-government activists are being shelled and bombardedwith heavy artillery and incendiary bombs. The defense of Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, jailed in Mexico since March 31 after accidentally crossing the border with three registered guns, is once again in turmoil, as yet another legal shakeup has dashed any hopes for a quick return to the U.S.

Although Tahmooressi’s mother would not confirm that the second of two attorneys hired to win her son’s freedom had been fired, sources told FoxNews.com that Lamberto Jesus Esquer Dabdoub is no longer representing the Marine and veteran of two tours of duty in Afghanistan. CENTRAL POINT, Ore. — The Jackson County sheriff says two deputies were serving an eviction order on an Ashland man Tuesday when he came out of his bedroom pointing a shotgun at them, and they shot and killed him.

Sheriff Mike Winters told a press conference Wednesday that both deputies fired and 73-year-old Earl Carlson Harris was hit at least twice.

Gun rights activist Adam Kok­esh, who was convicted of drug and gun charges Thursday in a Fairfax County court, did not contest the allegations, but he called the raid that led to his arrest “political persecution.”

Kokesh, 32, entered an Alford plea in Circuit Court to two felonies related to his possession of hallucinogenic mushrooms while possessing a gun. With unemployment rates skyrocketing, going out and finding a new job can be nigh on to impossible these days.  This is only going to get trickier as the government continues to force businesses to increase the minimum wage. Workloads that used to provide employment to two people are now forced onto one. The work performed gets shoddier as the one employed person struggles to keep up, and the number of people who are employed gets lower.

A Manhattan cop and his customs-officer brother pleaded guilty in Brooklyn federal court Thursday to smuggling unlicensed assault and sniper rifles from the United States to the Philippines.

The U.S. since last year has been secretly flying unmanned surveillance aircraft in small numbers over Iraq to collect intelligence on insurgents, according to U.S. officials.

The program was limited in size and proved little use to U.S. and Iraqi officials when Islamist fighters moved swiftly this week to seize two major Iraqi cities, the officials said.
