It is January 19, 2013 and declared Gun Appreciation Day, with Second Amendment supporters visiting their local gun stores and showing support for the right to bear armsguaranteed under our constitutional Second Amendment rights.
There are also rallies being held across the country by Guns Across America.
Photos are starting to come out, so this post will be updated throughout the day with them.
Anna, via @anna12061 , has sent photos of the gun rally being held in Albany, NY.

Sorry I did not get a picture but In Coeur d’ alene, Idaho we had about one thousand attend the 2nd Amendment rally at Black Sheep Sporting Goods. The Founder of Oath Keepers spoke, along with local officials and others. The news crews who were there early quickly left when the crowd reached a thousand.
Yep, there was a lot of traffic in Austin, TX today. Not sure if it was the gun rally, but I do know the shelves were wiped out of 9MM ammo and even 12 gauge slugs in Walmarts and Academy of sports and outdoors. Also couldn’t find any mags for my gun. At Academy of sports and outdoors, the clerk and a customer were talking about the situation with the guns and Congress. Meanwhile in between them were the gun cases and only about 3 guns were displayed out of three display cases and the rest of it was all empty. Even the shotgun and long rifles only had a few left on the racks as well.
It’s crazy. I am slightly upset that I couldn’t find any ammo, but on the other hand, I’m glad people are buying them and selling them out. The way I see it, as long as they are in the hands of patriotic Americans and not gathering dust on the shelf, that will be one less bullet going to the corrupt cops and DHS to grab during their off hours.
(Sniff..sniff….) I smell a revolution in the air on the part of Patriotic Americans and fear on the part of the elite and our foreign government. I just have to say, the elite picked the wrong country to F**K with! Live free or Die hard!
A.J. is an ass, but I must say he got one thing right when he said to Piers Morgan and the MSM elite, “If you take away our 2nd Amendment, you’re gonna have a 1776 on your hands.” The elite better know, we ain’t playin’ anymore. This fight is not a political game. This fight is for real!
I saw on the nightly news today that there was a real good rally in Madison, Wi. this gun ban confiscation thin just isn`t going to fly on bit. Those politicions down in wash. have got a whole lot of learning to do. They are going to have to start wakin` up.
I was there Digger! As ususual the media downplayed the numbers(big suprise, huh?). Having been a concert promoter I have a fairly good eye at estimating crowds. From my point of view there were 1500-2000 people in Mad-town. Fri Afternoon I went to the gun show mentioned in this report: http://www.channel3000.com/news/Gun-advocates-turn-out-for-rallies-shows/-/1648/18200518/-/item/0/-/k7tdarz/-/index.html
I went to the gun show in Janesville and the promoters told me that shows have gotten crazy since November. I got there about a half hour before the opening, Thankfully I got through the door. By the 3pm start time people were lined up as far as I could see. I left about 2 hours later several 100 ollars lighter, but with a new .45 on my belt! All I’ll say regardng this new toy is that it s mfg retal price was about 300 higher thatn I paid!. AR’s that I saw around $800 several months ago are now around $1500. Want an M16,AK, SKS or a thompson? You need deep pockets! Select fire weapons were selling at $11,000-23,000.
This has GOT to be one of the highest gun ownership states there are, simply because of the huge population here, and I haven’t heard of one single rally here.

Not enough young people at these events.
Where are all the twenty-somethings?
