The shots were fired after New York City Police officers responded to a report of an assault inside the apartment building on Kings Highway at around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

The officers were in the hallway when a pit bull mix was let out of one of the apartments. The dog charged at them, according to police, and the officer fired a shot at the dog.

The shot grazed the dog, possibly ricocheted off a wall, and then struck his sergeant in the right foot just below his big toe.

The sergeant was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition. The pit bull was expected to survive.

No arrest was immediately made in the assault.

  1. “No arrest was made in the assault”
So it was nothing but a waste of time
And now our tax dollars go to a wounded Gestapo agent so he can sit on his butt at home and probably end up with his full pension and disability paid to him from our tax dollars , so essentially were still getting the screws put to us by the thin blue line

Too bad the ricochet didn’t have a better trajectory , if you catch my drift
It would be a bit of karma for all the dog killing these punks are pulling

  2. the dog was just defending his property from the criminals. shoot at mine and I’ll fire back. and there’s no such thing as a “pit bull”
