Senator Rand Paul Detained by Federal Gestapo

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, on his way to a Senate session in Washington DC, was detained at the Nashville Airport in Tennessee this morning.  Apparently Senator Paul, after going through a full body screen was told that there was an object on his knee.  The Senator raised his pant leg to show there was nothing there and offered to take another dose of radiation by going through the screen again to resolve the issue.  This is when Senator Paul was told he would have to undergo a full body pat down, which he refused and this is when he was detained.

People, we are talking about a United States Senator here who was on his way to the Capital. The U.S. Constitution protects federal lawmakers from detention while they’re on their way to the Capital.  I guess that is another part of our Constitution that is no longer in effect as a result of the Patriot Act and the Indefinite Detention Clause in the National Defense Authorization Act signed by Obama on New Year’s Eve.

Presidential Candidate Texas Congressman Ron Paul, father of Rand Paul, introduced legislation last week to strike down the unconstitutional Indefinite Detention Clause.  I guess this is how the USKGB has decided to respond.

Dr. Paul tweeted “My son @SenRandPaul being detained by TSA for refusing full body pat-down after anomaly in body scanner in Nashville.”

The Governor of the State of Kentucky should be filing protests immediately and in fact the full Senate should be convening to condemn the unconstitutional act and then turn the matter over to the Justice Department for the prosecution of the TSA Agents involved.

Senator Paul eventually went through the screener without incident but had to take a later flight to get back to Washington.  This is an outrage, not just because Paul is a Senator, but because of the implications of coercive strong arming toward Dr. Ron Paul, who has condemned the TSA for its unconstitutional activities toward we the people.

Senator Paul will be on Freedom Watch with Judge Napolitano later today.  It should be an interesting broadcast.

Here is Rand Paul speaking out against the TSA in June of 2011.

God bless this Republic, death to the international corporate mafia, we shall prevail.
