That’s what they did when I was in school back in the 1950’s. They’d send you to the principal, and he would get the razor strap. Parents would sign a
spank slip to make it alright. I had one on file, and the principal decided to
use it, but I took it from him. That cost me 6 months probation and ten days suspension. It turned out that I made a deal with Mom to keep my schoolwork
up if I could watch the NY Yankees play the Pittsburgh Pirates. It was a fair tradeoff, except my father gave me what the principal didn’t. Seven games of world series, and Yogi Berra? I’d take another licking to see THAT again!
