Texas Gun Store: Sales After Obama’s Terrorism Speech Eclipsed Black Friday

Breitbart – by AWR Hawkins

Although background checks on Black Friday were record-setting, SK Arms in Midland, TX, says sales the day after President Obama’s terrorism/gun control speech were even bigger.

In fact, SK Arms says Obama’s speech ushered in a surge of gun sales that lasted all week long.

The Midland Reporter-Telegram published an excerpt from Obama’s December 6 speech in which he called for expanding background checks and putting new regulations on “assault weapons.” He then said:

I know there are some who reject any gun safety measures. But the fact is that our intelligence and law enforcement agencies, no matter how effective they are, cannot identify every would-be mass-shooter, whether that individual is motivated by ISIL or some other hateful ideology. What we can and must do is make it harder for them to kill.

SK Arms co-owner Kane Kolisek said sales on recording-breaking Black Friday were “impressive,” but those sales were outdone by those witnessed the day after Obama made his gun control push.

Koliesk said sales on December 7 “topped… Black Friday figures and remained high throughout the week.”

And SK Arms assistant manager Danny Anderson stressed that the surge in sales is not indicative of panic buying, where people buy things they fear are going to be banned. Rather, he suggested that sales seem to show a self-defense mindset, where people are buying handguns they can keep in their home or vehicle—or carry on their person—for use in defending their lives and the lives of their families.

  1. It’s not enough that they’re armed. WE have to make sure they know which way to point the things.

If you can’t disarm them, the next best thing would be to deceive them regarding who their enemy is, and the media has been very successful about doing that for generations, so don’t count that possibility out.

The same need to spread the truth still exists, because many of the people who are buying guns today might still fall for the “domestic terrorist” threat. (It’s NOT just for liberals)
