World Events and the BibleIs the Bible making a comeback? The year of our Lord 2014 features five new Biblical films (Son of God, Noah, Heaven is for Real, Exodus and Mary, Mother of Christ) and two of them have already been released on the big screens. Yesterday, the movie Noah made its anticipated release in theaters around the country. If you plan to view the new film, do not expect to find much truth in Hollywood’s spin on God’s Word. It is hard enough to find much truth in the churches of today, much less expect to find Biblical truth from a Godless Hollywood.
Christianity is increasingly being pushed aside by our society as we can see from the graph below. The search term, “Bible Study” has fallen dramatically over the past ten years.
The mere mention of the name “Jesus Christ” in public circles can send chills down the spine of individuals worrying that someone might be offended, but a lack of morality is considered acceptable in today’s society.
So in our upside down world, why are so many Biblical based movies coming out this year considering the popularity of the Bible is in decline? I believe the answer is very simple. There is a spiritual war of deception taking place in our world today. We see it in our churches where Christians are fed a few verses from God’s Word on Sunday and honestly believe they are filling their lamps with enough oil to expel Satan’s darkness. We see it in world news and politics, the middle east is a great example of this. The peace talks in Israel that will not stand (1 Thessalonians 5:1-3), the destruction of Syria’s capital Damascus(Isaiah 17:1) and the ongoing words of war towards Iran (Daniel 8). Let us not forget Russia who is repositioning itself just as described in Daniel 7:5.
All of these scriptures are direct signs of the end times. The literal events that will bring about the consummation of this earth age. The time when we witness Satan the “the prince of this world” cast from Heaven to earth (John 12:31).
So when we see a mainstream movie about Noah released that resembles nothing of God’s Word, intentional or not, we must understand this is a part of the deception of the end times. Christ told us Himself, “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be,” (Matthew 24:37).
Armed with that knowledge, we should take it upon ourselves to find out exactly what the Days of Noah were like.

Brandon. Great post. I very seldom go to these so called biblical extravaganzas. They are always filled with deception. What is happening today is a direct reflection of what scripture has told us. Satan’s exponential advance is mind boggling to me. These are exciting times to be alive.

I refuse to watch any trash that comes out of Hollyweird concerning ANYTHING Biblical, Paul.
That it will be thoroughly corrupted is already a given.
The ONLY decent one made in decades was Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ”, which I have on dvd.
