So he is obviously making fun of children having guns for home defense but it is funny. The movie actually has a firearm in it. A pellet gun actually.
Lets not forget it was a goofy comedy and if the kid was armed the movie would have been 23 min long. because he would have fired a shot and the cops would have arrived in short order to kill every dog in the neighborhood.
