The Daily Sheeple – by Melissa Dykes
One of the top stories on the Voice of America, our government’s admitted propaganda outlet, is about how the Pentagon has officially begun training the so-called moderate Syrian rebels on the ground in Syria to fight the Islamic State.
You know… Whoever the rebels are.
The Pentagon says it has started training moderate Syrian rebels to fight against Islamic State militants on the ground in Syria.
U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter told reporters Thursday that 90 highly-vetted individuals began training at a secure location, which he did not disclose, and that the program will gradually expand.
“This is a complex program. It’s going to have to evolve over time,” Carter said. “We’re starting with the people … that we vetted very carefully. We’re figuring out what the best training is, what the best initial deployment is. We expect that to be successful and therefore to grow. But you have to start somewhere.”
“Highly-vetted,” huh? How’s that exactly?
As I’ve previously reported, it is on record that the U.S. has trained and funded ISIS and without the U.S. government, ISIS would not be the threat we are told it has become.
Now our government is going to train and arm more people to fight the people the government armed and trained.
Yet somehow the American people are still supposed to believe there is a clear cut “good guy” (the moderate Syrian rebels) and a “bad guy” (ISIS) here. How simple-minded and ignorant they must think we all are.
I’ve written multiple articles (here, here, and here) on the fact that good ‘ol Uncle Sam in the form of the Obama Administration has sent hundreds of millions of dollars to ISIS, the terrorist enemy in Iraq and Syria that our government also helped train which has apparently gotten so bad now, the government just has to start airstriking Syria (in addition to the strikes already taking place in Iraq) to stop them.
There is no such thing as the “Free Syrian Army” as our media outlets pretend. As Aron Lund broke it down at some length, there is no unified, organized rebel faction in Syria that we can actually point to and go, “Yep, that’s clearly the FSA.”
…the FSA doesn’t exist – at least not as commonly perceived. Global Syria coverage would be a lot less confusing if journalists didn’t persist in pretending that it does…
After breaking down all the different random groups that have paraded under the banner of FSA over the recent months, Lund goes on to say:
I wish that the FSA did exist. A unified rebel leadership would spare Syria much of the bloodshed that lies ahead… Unfortunately, my mere wishing won’t make it so. But neither will sloppy and distorted news reporting.
Remember when John McCain came under heavy media fire for posing in a picture with some supposed Syrian rebels?
Surely those guys weren’t ISIS, right? They were definitely rebels?
Is that why those guys, who definitely aren’t related to ISIS in any way, then used the pictures of McCain’s visit as the star feature of a new ISIS recruiting campaign over there?
Afterwards he went on to reassure CNN’s Anderson Cooper in an interview not to worry about the U.S. government funding the rebels in these conflicts because, “We can identify who these people are. We can help the right people.”
Oh really… Can we?
Is that why McCain later slipped up on Fox about who exactly we armed?
“Hillary Clinton has described already the meeting in the White House over two years ago… everyone in the national security team recommended arming ISIS and the President, by himself, turned it down,” McCain said. [emphasis added]
Surely he meant to say the rebels, right?
Gee, even Senator McCain accidentally refers to the rebels as ISIS and can’t seem to tell the difference.
But it’s okay, we’re sending hundreds of millions of dollars over there and the Pentagon is on the ground in Syria right now training and arming… someone, and the program is set to expand soon.
One last thing.
The Voice of America is the same place I found this perfectly posed picture, supposedly of the Syrian rebels:
Ask yourself this: Do you really think they’d take the time to spray paint their mission statement on the wall in both their native language and English?
