The Truth Comes Out: Former IRS Director Admits Taxes Are Voluntary

Liberty Crier

Steve Miller, former Director of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), admitted at a Congressional hearing that the taxes collected by the IRS are not mandatory – but voluntary.

When questioned at the House Ways and Means Committee (WMC) hearing last week, Miller told House Representative Devin Nunes that “America’s tax system is ‘voluntary’”. When Nunes remarked for clarification that the US tax code is a “voluntary system”, Miller said, “Agreed.”

House Representative Xavier Becerra commented that the ruse of the IRS is kept as a public confidence in the system scheme to keep Americans paying money to the IRS.

Miller confirmed this is so.

The shuffle at the IRS has landed Danny Werfel as the new acting director.

  1. What would happen if 100,000 + people united and said, “Were mad and hell and were not going to take it anymore” and did not pay Federal Taxes. People must unite together before this could happen. One could hear the Zionist scream.

  2. I don`t know? Why don`t we ask Wesley Snipes what he thinks would happen? This “democracy” is a front for the criminal activities of the Jews and Israel. Our “freedom” is completely conditional on our supporting the Jews. If you think these people count our votes, then you believe in Santa Claus and are at best a deluded fool!

  3. by voluntary, it is meant that you volunteer to fill the forms out and pay the taxes instead of the govt doing it for you. the taxes are still owed. paying is not voluntary.

    1. If you do not file they use violent force to make you file, either they are lying or misusing the word voluntary. Lawyers don’t miss use words. Therefore, it is not voluntary and they are deliberately lying. Its not relevant if the IRS claims it is voluntary, income tax is still a fraud and illegal.

    2. I disagree, I think he was saying it is voluntary because John Smith voluntarily pays taxes for JOHN SMITH. If you don’t understand the difference between those 2 then you have a lot of research to do.

  4. I’m just waiting for an official announcement from the press. Aside from sales tax, I won’t be paying anymore income taxes.

  5. If it is so voluntary, then how come we have to pay? How come we have to go to prison if we don’t pay? What part of voluntary do they not understand?

It seems our foreign government has trouble understanding the words, “Voluntary” and “Infringe”. They some how feel that it means the opposite of what its true meaning is. I’m curious as to what dictionary they use, “Dictionary for Dummies”?

  6. Yeah, just like we “volunteer” to have our money taken and sent to other countries as “foreign aid”. Just like we “volunteer” to pay for illegals to be educated, given medical care and food stamps. Just like we “volunteer” to have the federal reserve devalue the fiat currency.

  7. Why does Steve Miller mention ‘audit’ if tax is voluntary? You have to look very carefully at how the word ‘voluntary’ is used. It is not voluntary in the sense a layman would understand the use of the word. The words that comprise these laws have been so twisted, you can’t make heads or tails of them. We are literally spell bound by these forked tongue used to write these laws because they seem to make sense but they don’t. It is newspeak that is being used.

Taxes are voluntary in a way that still means you must pay or violence will be applied by the state to collect. If anyone believes they don’t have to pay taxes and know a way of not paying without this violence, then I’d like to see a good article on its successful application and would be more than happy to withhold volunteering any more of my tax money for useless government programs I think are a waste and pay only for those items in the budget on which I agree. (Almost none of it.) Then my taxes might be as low or lower than the large corporations.

  8. One of the IRS manuals (for internal use only) states the tax is “voluntary” but it’s not supposed to be shown to the public, but the real rub is that the whole income tax is based on the 16th Amendment to the Constitution WHICH WAS NEVER PROPERLY RATIFIED and I can prove it. Just look up a book by Red Beckman and Bill Benson called “The Law that Never Was”.

Bill Benson was sent to every state that was a part of the ratification process and collected over 15000 certified, notarized documents proving once and for all that the 16th Amendment was never ratified, but was certified by Philander Knox, then Secretary of State as having been ratified.
Folks WE HAVE BEEN HAD by these bankster hucksters our whole lives.

  9. I sure don’t recall volunteering to pay income taxes, and I don’t recall authorizing the IRS to deduct money from my wages.

I suspect this definition of “volunteer” can be found in the Communist Dictionary; Federal Reserve Edition.

  10. They are laughing at you. They know the system is now so corrupt and locked down that no one can just voluntarily not pay taxes.

Only about 1000 people are convicted yearly of federal tax evasion just to set an example to scare people.

  11. The readers’ comments here contain many good questions that should be directed to the House Ways and Means Committee (WMC), and its members including House Representative Devin Nunes and Representative Xavier Becerra. They could clearly define what they meant by “voluntary”. Their replies would make a great news article.

Then there are your own representatives and senators, who could also be asked to explain, via a letter or a FIOA request. Again, the replies would make an interesting article for a blogger or reporter.

  12. Goggle Harry Reid Voluntary ha ha. Government was famous for using various sort-of analogies to keep you volunteering…such as the red-traffic light example by saying you voluntarily agree to stop. The IRS official stance was: “…a system of voluntary compliance by the making of a return.” Now of COURSE they’re going to spin-it by saying in essence you voluntarily assess yourself and that is what we mean by voluntary. Chuckle Chuckle. You can see the slave mentality thinking, “Yeah…that’s what it is. I voluntarily say I’m a slave, so then its mandatory.” [Which is probably the truth in what people do by the millions…] You can cut to the chase fast because it certainly is not voluntary on certain employment, certain employees, and if you’re on certain territory. Did you obtain the privilege of government employment and are you a government employee? Do you reside upon government territory? If not then ask yourself, Do I have a “Legal Duty” to government in a free society? Legal Duty is how the law profession describes an obligation or a requirement to do something. You can of course write the IRS and ask as THOUSANDS have done…but you won’t get an answer of substance because they’re frankly not that stupid. [But IF you ask about tobacco, liquor, etc. you will get a definite and fast YES]. So now, do you have a legal duty to fill out a form of government, signed under penalty of perjury where ANYTHING can be used against you? Ahhh…the smart people are thinking 5th amendment…but of course govt courts ruled against that. Huh? Ok…so let’s try another way. Per the Constitution only Congress can lay and collect taxes. Congress is legislative branch. The IRS commissioner states he collects taxes exclusively. Obama is executive branch. Under him is the Dept of Treasury. In that organization chart you find the IRS. Separation of powers eh? Of course Congress says it outsourced that power. Huh? Actually they needed something executive because without-it there would be no enforcement. Ok…let’s try another way. The Leg. intent for the 16th amendment written by sneaky lawyer Taft clearly says it was a tax upon the national government [meaning govt employees]. Ok…let’s try another way. Look at any government form for the word Tax Payer. Look carefully–did you find it anywhere? Look very carefully for I told you to find the two-word Tax Payer but I bet you only found the one word Taxpayer. Well…the mission statement of the IRS says they only service the oneword taxpayer. Why? Because the clever lawyers already defined that person as liable for the tax in the law. Sneaky eh? What’s the point? There are literally a THOUSAND other ways…but all roads lead back to one document called the Declaration of Independence. When you discover that document is LAW and is the 1st law from which all authority flows as a DISTILLATION, then you’ll realize why they have to carefully “skirt around” so. Thus…why start at the end? Your freedom is at the beginning. Stay there and be free.
