A family says a SWAT team raided its home in the middle of the night and seriously injured a 19-month-old boy with a stun grenade.
The child is at the Grady Memorial Hospital burn unit, and is in a medically induced coma. Phonesavanh said she was at her sister-in-law’s home, in Habersham County, early Wednesday when police raided the house. “It’s my baby. He’s only a baby. He didn’t deserve any of this,” Phonesavanh said.
Cornelia Police Chief Rick Darby confirmed that the raid took place at the home just before 3 a.m. He said a multijurisdictional drug unit issued a warrant and organized the SWAT operation. Deputies said they bought drugs from the house and came back with a no-knock warrant to arrest a man known to have drugs and weapons. “Everyone’s sleeping. There’s a loud bang and a bright light,” Phonesavanh said. “The cops threw that grenade in the door without looking first and it landed right in the playpen and exploded on his pillow right in his face.” They arrested Wanis Thometheva, 30, during the raid.

A swat raid with a baby,really?!WTF!So if drugs were purchased from the home why then did they not know a child(infant)was present?!Why not arrest these folks when they step out for whatever reason down the street?Just end the so called lost war on drugs,starve the drug/cop/court/prison cartels and those that want to die,let em do it cheaply while offering help for those who want it.Someone wants to die due to a addiction do not want also folks robbed/killed in the process due to expense along with expenses of incarceration.

The irony does not escape me: our government CPS agencies regularly investigate and take babies away from parents “just in case” they might be neglectful (and usually they are NOT). And our government police (“peace officer”) agencies regularly do no-knock raids without regard for the safety and wellbeing of any children who might be there (and any other innocents besides).
So which is it? Our government has a mission to “strengthen families and promote the safety of children” (the official two-fold mission of CPS) or does it have a mission to terrorize families and physically and psychologically and emotionally harm children (and innocents)?
I think it’s the second one.
Which one of these Nazi troopers gave authorization to use a grenade!! Needs to be fired, then charged with a felony and sent to prison. Personally I really want him hanged, he is a cold killer!!

Just as Cliven Bundy and supporters demand the return of stolen cattle. We can demand the immediate arrest of the flash-bang tosser, along with those who were in command ang giving orders.
