A tractor-trailer that came apart struck the entrance to the subway station on 6th Avenue and 23rd Street Monday morning — prompting a partial street closure in Lower Manhattan.
According to NYPD, the trailer detached from the truck’s cab.
No injuries were reported, police say, adding that the incident had no impact on transit.
Images from the scene show a long white trailer sprawled across the majority of the street lanes, with one of its ends over the curb and onto the subway entrance.
Police have closed 23rd Street between 6th and 7th avenues. It is unclear when it will reopen.
It is unclear if there is any structural damage to the subway station.
