Two SWAT teams were deployed and an entire neighborhood in Ft. Collins, Colorado was shut down for four hours to search for a man suspected of stealing a bicycle and a grocery cart full of merchandise from Wal-Mart.
A sheriff’s deputy on scene said the SWAT teams were searching for a robbery suspect who had been tracked to the area.
The suspect tried to steal a shopping cart filled with tools and a bike from a Walmart earlier in the day. He had fought with staff members and fled in a car with other suspects inside. Police reviewed surveillance video and recognized the man. Police say the suspect has a criminal history.
In conclusion, no suspect was apprehended during the four hours the SWAT teams terrorize the neighborhood. However they did manage to capture a large dog by securing it in the Humane Society van.
American is increasingly being policed by cops armed with the weapons and tactics of war. Federal funding in the billions of dollars has allowed state and local police departments to gain access to weapons and tactics created for overseas combat theaters – and yet very little is known about exactly how many police departments have military weapons and training, how militarized the police have become, and how extensively federal money is incentivizing this trend. It’s time to understand the true scope of the militarization of policing in America and the impact it is having in our neighborhoods.

I can see the headlines now. “Sheeple Elementary School contacted authorities about 2 boxes of missing candy. Two Swat Teams were deployed to the school. Upon discovering the “perpetrator” with the missing candy, the Swat Team leader used a megaphone to instruct the perp, “Put down the Jolly Rogers and step out of the sandbox with your hands up!” The six year old “perp” was startled and did not comply immediately. This forced the police to tase and pepper spray this dangerous criminal who might have hurt himself if he tried to run for his “mommy”.
Bahahahahaha!! They need two SWAT teams to find ONE guy. How pathetic is that?
Hey Ft. Collins, are your policemen that untrained and that much of cowards as to not be able to arrest ONE simple person who stole something from Walmart? That’s like a policeman who can’t arrest someone stealing candy from a candy store. How pathetic is that? If I were a resident at Ft. Collins, I’d say, give me all my taxpayer money back because I sure as hell ain’t giving it to weaklings like you.
This is just truly pathetic beyond words.
Watch the police say this was not an excessive use of force. I for the life of me don’t know how any rational, sane person could justify this as not being excessive use of force. However, living in an irrational, insane world, I guess it doesn’t matter.
No suspect was found after two SWAT teams on the scene. So then, what did they do exactly? OH YEAH! Terrorize the neighborhood like TERRORISTS! Whoops! I’m sorry, who were the good guys? I forgot.
Well at least they secured a dog. Two SWAT teams to secure a dog. Gee…I can’t wait to see how many SWAT teams it will take to secure just me into one of their FEMA camps in the future. SEVEN?
Unbelievable!
What they don’t realize is that their excessive waste of manpower is their weakness. Especially if they end up fighting in a guerrilla warfare. Again, their over-confidence is their weakness.
Unreal… They’re getting us ready folks.
I moved to Oregon from Ft Collins CO. The town is not a city. It is a corp for profit(fcgov.com). CO state law allows cities to become corps and appon entering you are now under the corp bylaws. This makes it so you stay in the system for any and all reasons.
Lets say you didnt pay that parking ticket(FC loves to give them out) you are now on a pins or probation and will have to pay $20 per test up to 3 times a week when your color is called to go and submit to a drug and alcohol test. If you are found to be in violation they charge you again with new charges. This makes your time in the system longer and you are unable to leave the corp walls.
I remember a guy who did not come to a full stop on his bike at a stop sign and he was hit with a police cruiser and tackled by the cops. They kicked his but and tazed him.
BUT at least you can smoke weed so long as you have no other legal issues.
