Lawrence Lessig claims that the US government has prepared a type of Patriot Act that is in place should a major security event occur, a 9-11 type event. And just like the Patriot Act contains all sorts of new restrictions there is the fear that this I-Patriot Act will have many restrictions and laws that will limit the way the Internet is used.

Crack down on this, illegalize that, and confiscate anything that isn’t nailed down. What’s most frustrating are the idiots who are happy about it because they think their government is protecting them from something. They need a beating for supporting this tyranny.
Guess what? No more on-line banking, shopping, or bill paying the minute my first article rights are infringed on the internet. If free expression is stifled on line, I’m not paying my ISP bill anymore, either. Get the corporations to fight this new “Patriot Act” by boycotting them if they don’t. Cut off their money, and force them to hire more people, and they’ll put a stop to this right away.
