  1. We were soldiers once, rb – au phuc dup auhno whea tu gau
A34thEBC of the 20th Bdge – ’69-’69 – even today, I can hear just a few notes of those old songs and it brings on the memories – I caught a glimpse of that guy with the g-pins in his hat band – made me laugh at myself –
    Thanks

    1. I viewed this again……..I missed that until you brought it up………
yea the pins in his “pot”……….on his head in the field…..steel helmet.
      It does, doesn’t it….make a person laugh at oneself………
These words may not make sense to a person who was never there….you and I are fortunate to have gotten out of there…
      and for thanks……….anytime!

  2. Nam 68-69 USMC – – seems like this war is not over yet – like my father said before he died, who landed on Juno Beach on D-Day with the Canadians in a Sherman tank : What I fought against over there is now here and the fight will be even more intense and severe as man has abandoned God.

    1. absolutely right….Jarheadusmc …..Nam 69
Seems it is not over yet…..
I believe todays wars are not the same as your dads….
That man, your dad, truely stood up and saved us, our generation and then the powers kept on going and sent you and myself and all those others who killed, became wounded and/or died, into Korea, Vietnam, and today…yet ongoing….well, all this is not as your dad’s time….
His time was a service, mine and yours was a sham for the money, and nothing else…..yet you, I and all the others, many of whom, who also died did just that…………Served………
The fact is not a happy realization….
      Our country Must Change…
Violence, Death and Being are not compatible….and how much smarts does it take to understand that….well, how ever many smarts it takes you and i have…..my gratitude to you………
