Norefjell 2014-01-05. A quiet skiing, suddenly something happens 50 feet from the trail.
Power line at 132 kV corresponding EB-line. The estimate lasted at least five minutes.

I see.
There is a power line there.
It looks like a tree or snow from the tree shorted the line to ground.
The burnt tree or carbon from the tree sustained the arc.
You can see the high voltage line and the voltage has jumped to the snow covered tree which has grown too close. Probably burst into flames shortly after.
Yes, you can definitely hear what sounds to be something electrical. Cool video, anyway.
