A Las Vegas, Nevada woman has to use deadly force to defend herself when her ex-boyfriend kicked down the door of her apartment in the middle of the night.
The woman called police when the suspect started banging on her door, but they didn’t arrive before he broke through.
The woman fired two shots from a handgun at the man, one of which struck him in the chest.
After being shot, he fled the scene. Police were able to locate him, collapsed, nearby with the help of a police dog.
He is being treated at an area hospital and is said to be in intensive care.
We don’t have any information about the make, model or caliber of the firearm used in the incident.
According to some reports the suspect in the case had been stalking the victim for an extended period of time.
