(CBC News) Two RCMP officers have been shot outside of Edmonton.
Alberta RCMP say police are at the scene of an ongoing operation southeast of the Sturgeon Valley Golf Course in St. Albert.
The two officers suffered gunshot wounds and are being treated in hospital. RCMP Insp. Gilbert Glavin had no word on their condition.
RCMP are looking for a male suspect, described as a white man between 25-35 years old. He was last seen wearing a two-toned blue jacked and jeans.

RCMP say the suspect is considered armed and dangerous and warn the public not to approach.

RCMP are asking people to avoid the area and to call 911 or Crime Stoppers with any information.

St. Albert RCMP say the two officers were shot early Saturday morning within the city.

Insp. Gibson Glavin says police are searching for the suspect near the Sturgeon Valley Golf Club in St. Albert. Glavin says officers were struck by gunfire and endured “significant injuries.”

The suspect is described as armed and dangerous
ALBERTA (NEWS1130) – Two RCMP officers have been shot and are being treated in hospital in St. Albert, Alta., while police continue to search for an armed suspect.

St. Albert RCMP say the two officers were shot sometime between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. Saturday morning.

Insp. Gibson Glavin says police are searching for the suspect near the Sturgeon Valley Golf Club in St. Albert. Glavin says more information will be released, but declined to give a description of the suspect.

The suspect is described as armed and dangerous.

The officers’ injuries are believed to be significant.

RCMP have tweeted this suspect description: white male, 25-35, wearing two-toned blue jacket and jeans; and advise the public to not approach if the suspect is spotted.

  1. Having been robbed at gunpoint by the ‘mounties’ in front of my 5 year old \I can’t see why this shooting is a problem. Seems more like a solutiion.
