MESA, Ariz. – Mesa’s police chief is promising an investigation after a video showing officers repeatedly punching a man came to light.
Officers were apparently investigating a May 23 domestic violence call and the man, 33-year-old Robert Johnson, was a friend of the suspect.
The man is shown looking at his phone near an elevator, then officers walk up and hit him several times in the face and body. The elevator opens and more officers come out to join in.
Mesa Police Chief Ramon Batista says he didn’t know about the incident or the video until a week after it had happened.
Three officers and a sergeant have been placed on paid leave.
The man’s friend, 20-year-old Erick Reyes, faces domestic violence charges.
Chief Batista says he also changed the department’s policy so that officers cannot hit a suspect in the face or head unless they’re fighting with them. Before the change, the policy apparently could be interpreted that it is OK to hit suspects before any fight starts.
Today’s daily dose of cop insanity comes with the standard promise of “there will be an investigation”, and of course, the usual paid vacation for the enforcers. The brutality is encouraged, and their only concern is keeping it out of the public eye.

“Don’t leave any bruises. The photos garner too much sympathy from the public, and we have to look good on YouTube”. — Chief Brute

Is there a website that actually tracks the daily perversion of our illustrious police forces?
Probably not – more than likely they would be ‘swatted’ out of existence
And the gestapo thugs wonder why people celebrate when they get their just dues?!?
Isn’t that the truth Sunfire!
