Al-Qaeda In Iraq Merges With Syrian Rebels

Undated image posted on militant website purports to show evidence of growing cross-border alliance between two powerful Sunni jihadi groups: Al-Qaida in Iraq and the Nusra Front in Syria. Before It’s News – by Mort Amsel

Al-Qaida in Iraq says it has united with a Syrian jihadist group fighting to oust President Bashar al-Assad.

An audio message from al-Qaida in Iraq leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, posted on Islamist websites Tuesday, says his group has been funding cells from Syria’s al-Nusra Front.  The combined groups, the message says, will be called the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

The statement could not immediately be authenticated.

This is kind of huge.  AQI has been beaten but not beat and still remains a threat in Iraq, daily bombings, gun battles, assassinations and kidnappings prove that. Al-Nusra Front are the most effective fighting force in the Syrian Rebel mass. When Assad falls, and I believe he will, I believe another jihadist state will emerge.  -Mort

  1. AL CIADA.
The Mossad/cia fabrication. Alciada’s sworn enemies; The USA and Israel. Yet not once has Al Ciada attacked Israhell.
    I smell dead fish again.

    1. mort amsel is not a writer you want to be quoting. he is the one who spread the latest “Assad is dead” story from Israel and French necons all over the web- along with doctored photos of Gaddaffi as a shotup Assad

    2. Exactly Rhumstruck. Why haven’t Al-Qaeda attacked Israel? You’d think if they are so Muslim and Islamic and radical and want to get rid of all things not in relation to the Muslim world, then why is Israel not NUMERO UNO on their agenda? It makes no sense unless they are controlled by someone and ordered not to or are really just agents of U.S. and the Israeli Mossad itself.
