7:30PM THE PRESIDENT and THE FIRST LADY host a concert celebrating Memphis Soul music as part of their “In Performance at the White House” series; THE PRESIDENT delivers remarks
As the White House has previously announced, Justin Timberlake (who will be making his White House debut), Al Green, Ben Harper, Queen Latifah, Cyndi Lauper, Joshua Ledet, Sam Moore, Charlie Musselwhite, Mavis Staples, and others will be performing at the exclusive event.
But while the performers are known, the guest list for the private event has not yet been released.
One imagines it’s a tough ticket to come by. To attend any event at the White House, one must be invited. (The White House is now closed for public access by members of the general public.) And especially this one, with Hollywood and musical stars–and with remarks by the president of the United States.
A White House official did not immediately respond when asked for a guest list of tonight’s event.
However, the White House will stream its private party online and it will be aired on PBS. “The President’s remarks will be pooled press and the entire event will be streamed live on www.whitehouse.gov/live starting at 6:55 PM ET. ‘In Performance at the White House: Memphis Soul’ will be broadcast Tuesday, April 16 at 8 PM ET on PBS stations nationwide (check local listings). The program will also be broadcast at a later date via the American Forces Network to American service men and women and civilians at U.S. Department of Defense locations around the world,” the White House announced.
And since it’s an official event, we know who’s picking up the tab. The taxpayers.

It is events like this that we all should be going to DC to raise a little hell. Obama likes to cut back on the esentials and other thing that we all were pomised when we worked our lives away but look at what he is doing with our tax dollars. This guy is really out of touch with reality. Yep, this should be a message to every one in america that obama just doesn`t give a sh*t about america or the average person. Time we all get a rope. PS, I bet those sandy hook people will be enjoying themselves at this party.
F The criminals. I hope they spontaneously combust. That would be worth tax money to see. I dont fund criminals so its not my money being spent. I suggest you make it not your money that funds it either!
Obama simply doesn’t give a s**t what any of us think. May lightning strike the party and leave no survivors.
Except maybe Charlie Musselwhite.
I say it’s time WE THE PEOPLE CRASH the party! Now that would be quite an event, don’t you all think? It would be a fitting and artistic end for the Obama Administration.

Awww…isn’t that nice of him. Like the king showing off his private ball while the peasant sheeple are outside the castle amazed and wishing they were there. The White House has truly become the modern day royal kingdom.
Obama and his narcissistic vanity will be his downfall in the end. Believe me. History has seen fools like him come and go in the same fashion.
