The Firearm Blog – by Nicholas C.
Not something you normally see at the range.
This happened while my wife was visiting some co-workers in Salt Lake City. They took her and their kids to shoot some guns out in the desert. Just some shotguns and some pistols. They were visited by an Apache Helicopter. According to my wife, “you could see the gun under the nose waving at us”
Low flybys are one thing, but lingering and waving machine guns at people? Perhaps they were showing off.
In this video as the helicopter passes over the cars, you can see the gun move. But from my limited and non-existent experience with Apaches, the gun is tied to the movements of the pilot’s helmet and head.

the gun tracks the camera-pod,
the real question, is why they showed up.
maybe you were near a secret military base of some type & tripped an alarm.
so they sent the heli out to see if it was anything important.
because i doubt they had an apache just out for the fun of it and it just happened to see you and take some foto’s
Mehy-bee they were out of ammo and could not effectively strafe the people :/
Hope yer family gave them a nice big vertical smile then waved goodbye
Just a big badass contraption containing a bunch of government worker pussies. Take their cool uniform off and you’ve probably got some portly, balding woosies that look just like the next dork at Wally World- with their tourist shorts, flip flops and Hawiian (how the hell do you spell that?) shirt. and gut hanging down
Eff em all…
Can anyone who actually witnessed this sighting give me the date, time, location and possible aircraft tail number of this AH-64D Apache helicopter?
