Where’d the notion come from, that children must be locked up in a school building 6 hours per day, 5 days per week for at least 10 years?
Lazy people who had no idea what to do with an idle adolescent, because they become troublesome if they don’t get motivation/inspiration in any way. Nobody wants to deal with trouble, so lock ’em up and squash individual inspirations entirely. That’ll teach ’em.
