U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder was taken to a Washington, D.C. hospital Thursday morning as a precaution.

A Justice Department official released the following statement: “During his regular morning meeting with senior staff, the Attorney General began experiencing symptoms including faintness and shortness of breath. As a precaution, the Attorney General was taken to MedStar Washington Hospital Center to undergo further evaluation.”

Holder was taken to the hospital by his security detail, not an ambulance, reported NBC News’ Pete Williams.

The official said Holder is resting comfortably and is in good condition. He is alert and talking with doctors. He will remain at the hospital for further testing and observation, reported NBC Washington’s Chris Gordon.

Holder had been scheduled to attend President Barack Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper event Thursday. An avid basketball player, Holder is 63 and has been in good health. Williams said there are no known similar health issues in Holder’s past.

He was sworn in as the 82nd Attorney General of the United States on Feb. 3, 2009.

  1. Good thing he did not have a heart attack in the Sandy Hook School, Medivac choppers and ambulances don’t go there apparently. (yes I know it is torn down now)

  2. didn’t rod stewart have those symptoms on stage one time? 🙂 Holder may have just left a meeting with bath house barry.

  3. Eh,will be good news when he is in the morgue, given his bullshit during Waco/F&F,hell the list goes on he is responsible for many deaths and or coverups, his demise will be just fine and actual “Justice’.
