In the old days, we used to enjoy movies in which Robin Hood would “take from the rich and give to the poor”. But in the real world things are not supposed to work that way. In a civilized society, property rights are supposed to be respected. Unfortunately, the truth is that the U.S. is becoming less civilized with each passing day. At this point, a “Robin Hood mentality” is starting to emerge all over America. Highly organized gangs of thieves are specifically searching for wealthy targets, and those targets are often being followed all the way home before being attacked. I suppose that thieves must think that it makes a great deal of sense to target the wealthy, because robbing the rich is certainly a lot more lucrative than robbing the poor. Prescribed fire season has arrived at Crater Lake National Park and staff will be applying prescribed fire to the landscaping in preparation for the upcoming fire season.
Marsha McCabe of the National Park Service said hand thinning of small trees and brush, and brush pile burning this material with prescribed fire is commonly used by fire managers to not only improve forest health and wildlife habitat but also provide defensive space around structures and escape routes in the event of a wildland fire. McCabe said these techniques are part of the agencies continued commitment to protecting park visitors and employees, as well as the park’s valued natural and cultural resources from wildland fire. Foreign critics have long chafed at the “exorbitant privilege” of the U.S. dollar as global reserve currency. The tennis world reacted with shock after favorites Paula Badosa and Jannik Sinner had to retire during the quarterfinals of the Miami Open. Badosa, soon to be the number three in the world, became unwell during her match against Jessica Pegula and left the court in tears.
Badosa, who was comforted by her American opponent, decided to stop after consultation with her physiotherapist. Pegula reached the semifinals of the Miami tennis tournament for the first time in her career after Badosa’s resignation, reported Yahoo Sports. On March 10, Liberty Counsel, the law firm representing thirty members of the military who are fighting the military vaccine mandate, returned to federal court to defend the preliminary injunction Judge Steven Merryday granted two military plaintiffs that allowed them to skirt the military vaccine mandate.
