New reviews have shown that Monsanto’s Round-Up is not carcinogenic. The weed killer is perfectly safe, despite the World Health Organizations proclamation in 2015 that glyphosate, the primary ingredient in Round-Up, was “probably” carcinogenic.

If your kids are enrolled in school, you know that back to school shopping can make this the second most expensive time of the year.
This year, the National Retail Federation expects back to school spending to reach $83.6 billion dollars. This is a 10% increase over last year’s spending. (Although, of late, gender seems to be completely open to debate and have nothing to do with biology.) If you are an intelligent person, you have “cognitive privilege” according to an op-ed in the Daily Iowan.

Those who believe that our own government is perfectly willing to commit an atrocity and then blame it on someone else tend to deny threats when they’re brought up consistently by the media. Let’s take the North Korea nuclear menace, for example.

It’s always interesting reading when someone smug and sanctimonious writes a clueless diatribe about another group of people being smug and sanctimonious. So when I saw that an economist for Moody’s and Forbes had written an op-ed calling self-reliant homesteaders “delusional,” I knew I’d be in for some misinformed hilarity.
The article, entitled, “Dear Homesteaders, Self-Reliance Is a Delusion” was published a couple of days ago on the Forbes website. The era of artificial intelligence and technological deceit is upon us. If you think “fake news” and propaganda is bad right now, just wait.
And you won’t have to wait very long, at that.
Pretty soon, computer wizardry and artificial intelligence will allow video footage to be created that is practically indiscernible from the real deal. Add to this holograph technology, and soon, a person could appear to be speaking, live, in front of you, and you’d never even know it was all fake. The ethical ramifications of AI and technology are simply mind-boggling. In fact, some folks even believe it will signal the beginning of the end of humanity.

Bush Brothers and Company have issued a voluntary recall of several varieties of their famous baked beans.
The reason for the recall? There is a quality issue with the side seam of certain cans which was discovered when the products began to leak out the seams.
As any home-canner knows, this kind of issue means that the product within is at a high risk for botulism. Botulism is a potentially deadly form of food poisoning, and if the victim survives, they can suffer lifelong neurological issues. In the hierarchy of water, from municipal to well to purchased, bottled water is generally heralded as the purest drinking water you can get. But is it really?
Often, the bottled water for which you pay a high premium is simply the same water you get from the tap, run through a purification process. In other words, it’s the same thing you could do with your faucet and a Big Berkey. (And if you add some special filters, you’ll be sure to get the fluoride out.)
