The release of the June Jobs’ Report Friday was something of a relief for the markets. The Labor Department reported that the economy gained 195,000 jobs in June, which beat economists’ expectations. The Department also reported that the economy gained 70,000 more jobs in April and May than it originally estimated. The report, however, also provides clear evidence that the the nation is splitting into two; only 47% of Americans have a full-time job and those who don’t are finding it increasingly out of reach.    Continue reading “Only 47% of Adults have Full-Time Job”

New evidence has emerged suggesting that the entire global supply of rice may have already been contaminated by unapproved, genetically-modified (GM) rice varieties manufactured by the American multinational corporation Bayer CropScience. A recent entry in the GM Contamination Register explains that between the years of 2006 and 2007, three different varieties of illegal GM rice, none of which have ever been approved for cultivation or consumption anywhere in the world, were identified in more than 30 countries worldwide.   Continue reading “Unapproved genetically-modified rice trials in U.S. have contaminated the world’s rice supply”

A lack of oversight allowed Internal Revenue Service employees to purchase wine and pornography, among other things, with government-issued credit cards, the agency’s inspector general said.

The IRS made more than 273,000 purchases totaling more than $103 million by using credit cards and another $4.4 million using convenience checks, the inspector general said in a June 20 report. The purchases took place in 2010 and 2011.   Continue reading “Porn, wine, Nerf footballs bought with IRS credit cards, IG says”

cancerNatural News – by Ethan A. Huff

The cancer industry has apparently become so desperate to recruit new customers that it is now resorting to what can only be described as a type of medical date rape. A number of hospitals and cancer centers across the country are reportedly now holding community-driven “mammogram parties,” a deceptive cancer marketing scheme that basically entails deliberately getting women tipsy or drunk on alcohol with their friends and neighbors in order to entice them into getting medically molested via mammograms.   Continue reading “Hospitals, cancer centers now getting women drunk at ‘mammogram parties’ to lure them into having their breasts irradiated”

Stop the Drug War – by Phillip Smith

As of Monday, Vermont will be the 17th state to decriminalize marijuana possession. A bill passed earlier this year goes into effect then.

The measure, House Bill 200, was sponsored by Rep. Christopher Pearson (P-Burlington), with a tripartisan group of 38 cosponsors. It ends criminal penalties for the possession of up to an ounce of marijuana or five grams of hashish and replaces them with fines of $200 for a first offense, $300 for a second offense, and $500 for subsequent offenses. Possession of more than an ounce remains a criminal offense, as does cultivation of any number of plants.   Continue reading “Vermont Decriminalizes Marijuana Starting Monday”

The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, & Explosives is very proud of its hot new venture: using “fake drugs, big bucks to snare suspects.” USA Today reports:

The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the agency in charge of enforcing the nation’s gun laws, has locked up more than 1,000 people by enticing them to rob drug stash houses that did not exist. The ploy has quietly become a key part of the ATF’s crime-fighting arsenal, but also a controversial one: The stings are so aggressive and costly that some prosecutors have refused to allow them. They skirt the boundaries of entrapment, and in the past decade they have left at least seven suspects dead.   Continue reading “ATF Proud of Expensive “Stash House” Scam to Arrest Drug Thugs”

4th leadEric Peter’s Autos – by Eric

In a few days, we will all have an opportunity to peacefully inflict a major psychological blow on the rapidly coalescing police state by the simple but powerful act of refusing to play along with the absurd pantomime on the 4th of July that we live in an even nominally free country – one with the rule of law, an operative Constitution and respect for individual rights. One that isn’t a thugocracy.

We can turn our backs on the flag. Decline to participate when urged to cheer and sing.   Continue reading “Turn Your Back This Fourth of July”

PRETORIA, South Africa (AP) — One element of President Barack Obama’s Africa policy is to encourage a free press, although he offered repeated reminders for U.S. reporters traveling with him on the continent to be on their best behavior.

“Americans, behave yourselves,” he needled as a contingent of U.S. and South African media was pulled from a quick photo-op Saturday with President Jacob Zuma.   Continue reading “WHITE HOUSE NOTEBOOK: Obama to US media: ‘Behave’”

We can’t possibly expect our Senators to read a 1200 page bill before voting on it. Can we? Well Thank God Ted Cruz read it. Not only did Cruz read it but he schooled anyone who would listen from the Senate floor on Tuesday. Cruz found a loophole that actually penalizes an employer $5000 for hiring a citizen over a legalized alien. Seriously. You can’t make this stuff up. Senator Cruz was quoted as saying:   Continue reading “Amnesty Bill: $5000 Penalty For Hiring Citizens Over Legalized Aliens”
