Family and friends of Elijah McClain learned this the hard way two years ago after McClain — who had broken no law — was detained, tackled to the ground, and forcibly sedated with ketamine before he succumbed to the force and drug, and died. A regional health authority in British Columbia has apologised after admitting twelve children were given the Moderna vaccine, which is yet to be given emergency approval for use in those under 18, as the child vaccination campaign kicked off.
Vancouver Coastal Health, a regional health authority that serves one in four residents of British Columbia, Canada, has confirmed that 12 children were given the wrong vaccine towards the end of May, as teenagers in the province became eligible for vaccination. A federal judge in Texas has dismissed a lawsuit from more than 100 employees of the Houston Methodist hospital system over its COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
U.S. District Judge Lynn Hughes said the employees weren’t illegally being forced to get vaccinated in order to keep their jobs.

The body of a Birmingham, Alabama journalist who broke the story about the controversial 2016 tarmac meeting in Phoenix between former President Bill Clinton and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch was found on Saturday morning of an ‘apparent suicide,’ according to AL.com.

An eighth grader in Virginia has slammed Loudoun County Public Schools for a policy she claims lets boys use girls locker rooms, putting female students in danger.
Jolene Grover, 14, spoke at the school district’s board meeting on Tuesday to address its proposed policy 8040. She was pulled from a LCPS school last year by her mother, Fox News reported. The water level of Lake Mead at the Hoover Dam is set to meet its lowest level on record as California‘s megadrought leave millions under emergency rations.
On Thursday, Lake Mead’s water level is projected to hit elevation 1,071.61 feet, sinking to it’s lowest elevation on record since the 1930’s, said a Bureau of Reclamation spokeswoman. Ethiopia’s troubled Tigray region is now in a state of famine, the UN’s humanitarian chief Mark Lowcock has said, as reports suggest that hundreds of thousands of people are at risk of disaster.
“There is now famine in Tigray,” the official told representatives of UN, EU and US organizations on Thursday, warning the situation may be the worst since the 2011 famine in neighboring Somalia, which killed around 260,000 people.
