Seattle head coach Pete Carroll hosted a retired four-star general at the Seahawks facility last spring and blitzed him with questions about whether the 9/11 attacks “had been planned or faked” by the government, according to Deadspin.com.

Decorated general Peter Chiarelli, who had just called it a career, was discussing football and brain injuries with Carroll before the conversation took a turn, Deadspin reported.   Continue reading “Report: Seahawks Coach Peppered 4-Star General With 9/11 ‘Conspiracy’ Questions”

Even though Koch was raised rich and has now amassed a personal fortune of about $34 billion, he recently gave us a deeper sense of his true worth, measured not in dollars, but in values.

“We want to do a better job of raising up the disadvantaged and the poorest in this country,” he declared. Excellent thought — FDR couldn’t have put it better! Noting that a big problem for the poor is that the Powers That Be “keep throwing obstacles in their way,” Koch cut to the chase, saying, “We’ve got to clear those out.”   Continue reading “Blessed Are the Rich”

Imagine taking a hike in your local woods and coming upon characters toting semi-automatic weapons, dressed in camo and wearing masks. Then imagine finding out they are militia-movement followers hired by a mining operation to protect against “eco-terrorists.”

That’s what’s been happening to people living in northern Wisconsin lately. And these are the kinds of guys people are encountering in the woods:    Continue reading “An Ominous Alliance: Militiamen Showing Up in Wisconsin as Mining Co. ‘Security’”

In a 5 to 4 vote, the US Supreme Court has absolved pharmaceutical companies, and over 80 percent of all drugs prescribed in the US, of legal liability for a long list of ill deeds including fraud, mislabeling, side effects and accidental death.

This decision happened as a response to a lower court’s ruling concerning a victim who took a pharmaceutical drug and had a severely adverse reaction that caused the patient to be completely disfigured when the drug caused a flesh-eating side effect. The American Civil LIberties Union (ACLU) is filing lawsuits in strategic states to remove the medical ban on homosexuals donating blood and plasma.

Never mind that just 30 years ago, in the early days of AIDS, thousands of innocent women, children and men died of AIDS from infected blood transfusions.  Dozens of medical workers in blood donation centers contracted the disease from contact with contaminated blood.   Continue reading “Bad Blood: The Gay Drive to Donate”

Silverstein Denied Right to Seek $3.5 Billion From CarriersThe judge said ‘Lucky Larry’ couldn’t sue under New York State law, which means Silverstein is probably going to take his act on the road and sue in another state.

Real estate developer Larry Silverstein can’t seek $3.5 billion from airlines whose planes were hijacked by terrorists and flown into the World Trade Center’s twin towers on Sept. 11, 2001, a judge ruled.

Silverstein, who leased the skyscrapers about two months before they were destroyed, already collected $4.1 billion from insurers and can’t collect twice under New York law, U.S. District Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein ruled yesterday in a courtroom less than a mile and a half from the World Trade Center site.   Continue reading “Silverstein Denied Right to Seek $3.5 Billion From Airlines”

The corner of Broad and Erie is the Times Square of North Philly, but instead of flashy signs pushing Kodak, Samsung, Canon or Virgin Airlines, you have stark billboards urging you to “ELIMINATE YOUR DEBT” and “REBUILD YOUR CREDIT.” On utility poles, styrofoam signs promise, “JOBS! $400-$600 PER WEEK. CALL TODAY, START TOMORROW.” Is it legit? Ring to get sucked in, or you can stock your fridge, finally, by ditching your junk wheels for “$400,” according to one flyer, or “$250-$400,” per another. The biggest billboard touts “RAND SPEAR 1-800-90-LEGAL. He Eats Insurance Companies for BREAKFAST!” Are you aching all over, your skeleton permanently askew from that bus accident you weren’t even involved in? Are you emotionally spavined from having to dodge that abruptly swinging door? Now you know who to call!   Continue reading “Postcard from the End of America: North Philly”

Despite reporting to the contrary from both Los Angeles’ NBC affiliate and the Los Angeles Police Department, Trayvon Martin protesters in Hollywood on Sunday night neither “stormed” nor caused “about $15,000 worth of damage” at a local hotel.

For the most part, protests in the wake of the “not guilty” verdict for George Zimmerman in Florida, have been peaceful here in L.A., though, at times, it seems as if NBC’s local affiliate, NBC4 hoped they might not be.   Continue reading “L.A. I have served the post-911 Military Industrial complex for 10 years, first as a soldier in Baghdad, and now as a defense contractor.

At the time of my enlistment, I believed in the cause. I was ignorant, naïve, and misled. The narrative, professed by the state, and echoed by the mainstream press, has proven false and criminal. We have become what I thought we were fighting against.   Continue reading “I Hereby Resign in Protest Effective Immediately”

There were over 300 security cameras at Dulles International Airport on September 11, 2001, which retained their images for 30 days, and which were painstakingly examined by information systems technicians and monitored by federal agents. The US government did not release a single time-stamped video or any of the images from these 300 security cameras.   Continue reading “300 security cameras at Dulles Airport failed to capture a single validated image of the 9/11 hijackers who allegedly boarded Flight 77”

A world record … whap! … whap! ugh! … whap! whap! … it was not. But as pugilist bouts go … whap! whap! ugh!! … 91 rounds … wump! … bap! . .. it’s right up there.

And no gloves … whap! whap! … slap! …thank you … whap! This slug-out, in a ring south of Kansas City … whap! whap! … was back 130 years ago just about now … wump! whap! … bap! uhh!! … bare-knuckle …whap! crunch! thud! … whap! whap! … and “to the finish” … thud!

Marquess of Queensberry? Hah! This fisticuff meeting took place under London Prize Ring rules. A round only ended when a fellow was on his back from a blow or a body throw. That granted 30 seconds rest, and then he had just eight more to get back up “scratch,” the line drawn in the middle of the ring.   Continue reading “Fists of fury in a bare-knuckle world”
