Epoch Times – by Tara MacIsaac

The universe is full of mysteries that challenge our current knowledge. In “Beyond Science” Epoch Times collects stories about these strange phenomena to stimulate the imagination and open up previously undreamed of possibilities. Are they true? You decide.

We’ve lost the secret to making some of history’s most useful inventions, and for all of our ingenuity and discoveries, our ancestors of thousands of years ago are still able to baffle us with their ingenuity and discoveries. We have developed the modern equivalent of some of these inventions, but only very recently.   Continue reading “6 Advanced Ancient Inventions Beyond Modern Understanding”

For many years my detractors have pointed at the following quote as evidence of my anti Jewish sentiments:

“American Jewry makes any debate on whether the ‘Protocols of the Elders of Zion’ are an authentic document or a forgery irrelevant. American Jews do control the world.”   Continue reading “In These Very Moments, The Protocols Are Being Rewritten”

For those who have been following the recent ISM reports, one of the recurring concerns of respondents in both the manufacturing and service sector has been the congestion at West Coast Ports – which handled 43.5% of containerized cargo in the U.S and where transiting cargo accounted for 12.5% of US GDP – as a result of reduced work output by the local unions who have been more focused in recent weeks on ongoing wage hike negotiations.

And according to the latest update from the 29 west coast ports that serve as the entry point of the bulk of Asia/Pac trade into and out of the US, things are about to get far worse for America’s manufacturing base, because as RILA reported earlier, talks between the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) representing port management, and the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) officially broke down on Wednesday, and without an agreement, experts have suggested that nearly 30 west coast ports could be shut down within a week.   Continue reading ““Catastrophic Shutdown Of America’s Supply Chain Looms” As West Coast Port Worker Talks Break Down”

LACONA, N.Y. — Photographs taken of the pileup on Interstate 81 north near the Oswego-Jefferson County line show tractor-trailers and other vehicles smashed together, blocking all lanes of traffic.

Photos shared to Newzjunky show a tractor-trailer spun sideways across the road, while rescue personnel climb over the wrecked cars.   Continue reading “Photos show massive pileup on I-81 north that shut down highway”

NYPD Has a Plan to Magically Turn Anyone It Wants Into a Felon Justice Gawker – by Andy Cush

On Wednesday, NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton urged state legislators to consider increasing the penalty for resisting arrest from a misdemeanor to a felony. The change, he argued, would help New Yorkers “get around this idea that you can resist arrest. You can’t.” It would also give cops an easy way to turn victims of their own worst impulses into the worst class of criminal.   Continue reading “NYPD Has a Plan to Magically Turn Anyone It Wants Into a Felon”

Simon Menner’s ongoing series Camouflage shows landscapes with German snipers hidden somewhere in the frame. The project is like a deadly Where’s Waldo exercise. For Menner, the challenge of finding the snipers isn’t the important part; the photos comment on the way things like fear, terror, and surveillance are constantly part of our lives in the modern world.

“I’m playing with this notion that you always have to be afraid of something that is not visible,” says Menner, who lives in Berlin.   Continue reading “Can You Spot the Snipers Hidden in These Photos?”

The complexity of a game can be calculated using the number of ‘dimensions’ and the alternatives in each.

Tic-Tac-Toe has 3 dimensions : the grid, ‘X’ or ‘O’, and where to move next. That game is simple enough that even beginners soon learn that the game is won, lost or tied from the first move.

Checkers has a bigger board, adds another dimension in types of moves, another in King vs ordinary checker, and another in having many more pieces on the board. Still simple enough to teach young children, but adult intelligent human minds nevertheless find it very hard to grasp the higher levels of play.   Continue reading “High-Dimensioned Games”

I was once a member of a Presbyterian church (and ostensibly, a conservative one at that).  I came to believe that next to the communist party in Russia, the session of elders in Presbyterian churches was the most corrupt, self serving, loathesome group of men on the planet, and the Presbyterian process the worst ever invented by sinful man.  Perhaps I was wrong.

First, Mike Vanderboegh penned an article explaining how NRA Board of Directors candidate John K. Brown is an ATF snitch.   Continue reading “NRA Board Of Directors: Hangout Of Communist Sympathizers And Terrorist Enablers”

Movato Real Estate has compiled some interesting data that compared gun ownership in the 50 states with gun ownership in other countries using the methodology outlined below:

We started with a research group in Switzerland called Small Arms Survey and its report “Small Arms Survey 2007: Guns and the City.” Among other things, it estimated gun-ownership numbers for 178 countries, including the United States (which it estimates has about 270 million guns).

And I thought the story of a nine-year-old kid getting suspended for bringing his magical hobbit one ring to school and saying he could make another kid disappear because that’s a terroristic threat was the dumbest story I had heard come out of a public school this week.

When that happened I had to ask, “How much more pathetic do public schools in America have to GET before they just start imploding from the sheer level of STUPID?”   Continue reading “WTF? Teacher Arrested for Attacking First Grader for Eating Too Much at Lunch: “He Only Needed One Taco””

Brookings Institution has now issued a call for us to finance more firebombings, clusterbombings, and other support to the ethnic cleansing, which has been going on sinceUkraine’s coup — the ethnic cleansing that’s occurring in the region of Ukraine’s southeast that’s called “Donbass” (which is the Ukrainian area shown in dark purple on this map, the map of the election results in Ukraine’s last nationwide Presidential election before the coup; and that’s the same region which rejects the U.S.-imposed coup-Government; the people there had voted 90% for the man whom the U.S. coup overthrew, which is the reason the U.S. Government wants them eliminated, so that Ukraine can keep the land — and its resources — but now cleansed of its residents, so that the U.S. can place missiles there aimed at Russia, which is America’s current strategic objective: to control Russia).   Continue reading “Brookings Wants More Villages Firebombed in Ukraine’s ‘Anti Terrorist Operation’”

As the world is increasingly divided up into geographic “regions” under regional regimes cobbled together under the guise of pseudo-“free trade,” Israeli authorities are now quietly working to create what they call “free trade zones” with both the Communist Chinese regime and the Kremlin-dominated Eurasian Economic Union (member countries shown in green). The negotiations, officially announced this week, come as globalist plotters around the world accelerate their now-open efforts to subvert national sovereignty at a regional level — all on the road toward what top officials from Beijing and Moscow to London and Washington, D.C., regularly and openly refer to as their “New World Order.”      Continue reading “Globalism Wins as Israel Plans “Free Trade” With Putin, Beijing”

A member of my staff caught an obscure resolution that was introduced in the US House of Representatives last week—Resolution no. 41.

The fact that there was essentially no coverage of this Resolution really shows how the mainstream media is completely turning a blind eye to the true fiscal situation of the United States of America.   Continue reading “Here’s some frightening honesty, courtesy of the US Congress”

Ladies…and gentleman! Perish the thought you ever find your hands bound in duct tape, but if you do here’s how to get out.

With a proper use of force, you can use your arms to break free. That’s the important factor.

By raising your arms above your head, high as possible, and slamming them down hard at waist/hip level, the use of force breaks the bound tape in half.   Continue reading “How To Break Through Duct Tape if Your Hands Are Bound”

WASHINGTON—The U.S. government estimates as many as six million households may have to pay a penalty for not having had health-insurance coverage last year as required under the Affordable Care Act, officials said Wednesday.

About 150 million taxpayers are expected to file returns during the coming tax season, said Mark Mazur, assistant secretary for tax policy at the Treasury Department. The tax-filing process this year is expected to be trickier because Americans will, in some cases, have to pay a penalty or get smaller refunds because credits they received to offset insurance premiums were too large.   Continue reading “Up to six million households facing penalty for skipping health insurance”

A new genetically modified potato is closer than ever to arriving in American grocery stores, but while advocates claim it can actually reduce the risk of cancer, opponents say not nearly enough is known to ensure public safety.

Created by the J. R. Simplot Company, ‘Innate’ potatoes were created by inserting extra genes into them – genes that are modified but that otherwise exist naturally in the potato. Through genetic modification using RNA interference (RNAi), scientists used these genes to shut down a few of the potato’s other original genes – a process called gene silencing.   Continue reading “GMO potato seeks FDA approval, opponents say safety risks remain”

Interesting experience at the shooting range this afternoon …

The range is packed. Everyone got new guns for X-mas and wants to shoot them. There was about an hour wait for a stall. I sit down and start reading as I wait my turn. In a few minutes, a young girl sits down to wait in the chair next to mine. She’s by herself and appears to be in her early 20s. She’s the only black person in the room and one of the only women. She seems nervous as she fiddles with the gun case in her lap. She’s obviously uncomfortable.   Continue reading “Save a life or sneer at an idiot – your choice”

It wasn’t that long ago that Wall Street legend Barton Briggs told super rich to buy farms away from megacities and stock up on food and guns. Many plans have been put forward such as floating cities and armed luxury vessels that will be deployed international waters to keep the ‘brigands at bay’. The average working family have surely noticed the price of food and other goods rising but the neo-aristocracy have technocrats and economic forecasters at their disposal and they know the ledge. I wonder how many degenerate French nobility escaped the guillotine? Destabilizing paranoia is rife among the rich but the Soros-backed INET must have some interesting revelations that they won’t share with the rest of us.   Continue reading “President of Soros Founded Economic Institute Says Global Elite in Panic Mode”
