Aug. 5 (UPI) — A gas explosion in a North Korean city across the China border may have injured dozens of people and killed several others, according to multiple South Korean news services.

Even though early reports coming out of Lebanon are calling this an ‘accident’, the timing of this explosion is highly suspect to say the least. For the past 6 weeks or so, Israel has been relentlessly bombing targets in Iran and Syria, due to an increase in terrorist activity coming from those areas. As recently as just yesterday, the IDF made air strikes on Iranian targets near Damascus.
When you look at the video of the explosion in Beirut, it was multiple explosions actually, it does not appear to be something that was accidental. It looks like a strategic air strike, the only question is why. If it does turn out to be from Israel, this could well lead to a fresh outbreak in hostilities in the Middle East. Lebanon is prepared to defend itself against Israel’s attacks, which are in violation of the 2006 UN Security Council (UNSC) resolution, Lebanese President Michel Aoun said on Saturday.

Former Israeli Member of the Knesset Moshe Feiglin gleefully hailed yesterday’s devastating explosion in Beirut as a “gift” from God in time for the Jewish festival Tu B’Av.
Feiglin posted on Facebook that he thanked God that the deadly blast took place in Beirut, and claimed it was just in time for Tu B’Av, which is a festival of love, and in modern times has become a romantic Jewish holiday for dancing, handing out flowers and singing. President Donald Trump issued a memorandum on Monday which expands the use of the National Guard by authorizing guardsmen to respond to COVID-19 while at the same time allowing for the facilitation of economic recovery in the United States. The world is facing a “generational catastrophe” due to ongoing school closures, U.N. Secretary General António Guterres warned Tuesday, calling the coronavirus pandemic “the largest disruption of education ever.”

The owner of a Cuban restaurant in Louisville has decried a list of ‘diversity demands sent to him and dozens of other small business owners by Black Lives Matter activists – which include guaranteeing that at least 23% of staff are black, 23% of the business’s supplies are from black-owned retailers, and 1.5% of their net sales go to black charities. More than 125 companies owned by or linked to China have received hundreds of millions of dollars in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans meant for American small businesses during the Chinese coronavirus crisis, a report alleges.
According to an analysis by the Horizon Advisory consulting firm, published by the New York Times, anywhere from $192 million to $419 million in PPP loans — funded by American taxpayers — has been awarded to more than 125 China-backed companies since March. Figures from the FBI show July 2020 was the seventh consecutive month of record firearm background checks.
FBI data shows there were 3,639,224 checks in July, setting a record for the most background checks ever for the month of July.
