The top Democrat in the House, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, is opposing Mexico’s comprehensive immigration reform deal with U.S. President Donald Trump.

The deal expands the “Remain in Mexico” policy which returns illegal migrants back to Mexico until they can be bussed to their asylum-court hearings in the United States. The policy is now keeping just 8,000 migrants in Mexico, out of roughly 330,000 who crossed the border in the last three months.  Continue reading “Nancy Pelosi Opposes Mexico’s Promise to Keep Migrants”

Despite hundreds of millions of dollars flowing through Los Angeles to stem the rising tide of homelessness, a resurgence of medieval diseases has the city – and neighboring states – on edge. Yes, Typhoid Mary is back, in a sense, living on the streets and wreaking havoc on unsuspecting people in the Golden State.  Continue reading “The Los Angeles Disease Renaissance: Typhoid And Typhus Make A Comeback”

Imagine this: You head to your local gun retailer to buy bullets for your hunting rifle, and as you pick up the ammunition box, you are confronted with the image of a bloodied young woman in a hospital bed, the survivor of a near-fatal domestic shooting. A line of text below the photo reads: “In homes where domestic violence occurs, a gun increases the risk of women being killed by 5 times.”

If a pair of advertising executives have their way, this would be the future of ammunition buying in the United States.  Continue reading “The Ad Execs Who Want to Put Graphic Warnings on Ammunition”

President Donald Trump has already successfully gotten more gun control done than his predecessor, Barack Obama.  But he doesn’t seem to want to stop at banning bump stocks.  He’s now “seriously” considering banning silencers.

The media is taking aim at Trump over the shootings and he responded in a manner that would make any Democrat smile. “Well, I’d like to think about it,” Trump said in an interview with Piers Morgan on ITV’s Good Morning Britain. “I’m going to seriously look at it.” While Trump said he didn’t “love” the idea of a ban, he also was unhappy to see the frequency and severity of mass shootings in the United States, according to Bloomberg.
