BROWNSVILLE, Texas—The gunmen who recently hijacked a cargo truck carrying visas and documents bound for the U.S. consulates in Monterrey and Guadalajara were able to steal 11,500 border crossing cards that had just left this border city.

Breitbart Texas was able to learn exclusively that the truck had 11,500 border crossing cards and had just departed from Brownsville when it was hijacked just south of the Texas border as previously reported.   Continue reading “11,500 US Visas Stolen in Mexico”

Texas voters think Gov. Greg Abbott was right to send the Texas State Guard to monitor U.S. military exercises here, and they consider federally ordered domestic military intervention likely under certain circumstances, according to the latest University of Texas/Texas Tribune Poll.

Abbott sent the Texas State Guard to monitor the so-called Jade Helm 15 military exercises in Central Texas earlier this year, after particularly vocal activists expressed fears that what was being billed as an exercise was actually something far more sinister.   Continue reading “UT/TT Poll: Texans Wary of Domestic Use of Military”

Obama on Charleston: It’s too easy to get guns in AmericaYahoo News – by Oliver Knox

President Barack Obama on Thursday expressed profound “sadness and anger” at the Charleston church shooting as well as deeply personal frustration that America’s political climate makes it virtually impossible for now to tighten restrictions on who can buy firearms.

“We don’t have all the facts, but we do know that once again, innocent people were killed in part because someone who wanted to inflict harm had no trouble getting their hands on a gun,” Obama said in the White House briefing room, Vice President Joe Biden standing at his side.   Continue reading “Obama on Charleston: It’s too easy to get guns in America”

The House of Representatives on Friday delivered a blow, though perhaps a temporary one, to President Barack Obama’s signature goal of strengthening ties with Asia when it defeated one measure, but approved another important to finishing a Pacific Rim trade pact.

In a dramatic vote, Obama’s own Democrats, as well as Republicans, failed to produce enough support to approve a bill that would have given aid to workers who lose their jobs as a result of U.S. trade deals with other countries. The measure was soundly rejected in a 302-126 vote.   Continue reading “Obama quest for fast-track trade bill defeated for now in House”

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a regulation for Christmas lights on Monday, deeming some holiday decorations a “substantial product hazard.”

“The Consumer Product Safety Commission … is issuing a final rule to specify that seasonal and decorative lighting products that do not contain any one of three readily observable characteristics (minimum wire size, sufficient strain relief, or overcurrent protection), as addressed in a voluntary standard, are deemed a substantial product hazard under the Consumer Product Safety Act (“CPSA”),” the final rule said.   Continue reading “Feds Will Regulate Christmas Lights”

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that it has obtained records from the U.S. Department of the Air Force revealing that Michelle Obama’s weekend trip to Aspen, Colorado, in February cost American taxpayers $57,068.80 in travel expenses alone for the 7.4-hour round-trip flight. New concerns are being raised that the nation’s electrical grid and critical infrastructure are increasingly vulnerable to a catastrophic foreign attack — amid speculation over whether officials are eyeing a former Cold War bunker, inside a Colorado mountain, as a “shield” against such a strike.

North American Aerospace Defense Command is looking for ways to protect itself in the event of a massive electromagnetic pulse, or EMP, attack — a deliberate burst of energy that could disrupt the electrical grid and cripple NORAD’s ability to defend the nation.    Continue reading “Military eyeing former Cold War mountain bunker as ‘shield’ against EMP attack?”

— The Pentagon has a message for Texas: chill.

Defense officials Monday dismissed as “wild speculation” an Internet-fueled claim that a massive summertime exercise called Jade Helm 15 for special operations commandos is a covert operation by President Barack Obama to take over Texas.

That claim was given legitimacy by Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott’s order last week for the Texas State Guard to monitor the exercises.   Continue reading “Pentagon: Texas has nothing to fear from upcoming military exercise”

Investigators do not need a search warrant to obtain cellphone tower location records in criminal prosecutions, a federal appeals court ruled Tuesday in a closely-watched case involving the rules for changing technology.

The Atlanta-based 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, overturning a three-judge panel of the same court, concluded that authorities properly got 67 days’ worth of records from MetroPCS for Miami robbery suspect Quartavious Davis using a court order with a lower burden of proof.   Continue reading “Court: Warrantless Cellphone Tracking Not Illegal Search”

If you want to hear the details of the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal the Obama administration is hoping to pass, you’ve got to be a member of Congress, and you’ve got to go to classified briefings and leave your staff and cellphone at the door.

If you’re a member who wants to read the text, you’ve got to go to a room in the basement of the Capitol Visitor Center and be handed it one section at a time, watched over as you read, and forced to hand over any notes you make before leaving.   Continue reading “Extreme secrecy eroding support for Obama’s trade pact”

A most ridiculous and unbelievable thing happened to me the other day, while I was working at the movie theater in Plano, TX.

Often times, the theater that I work for has an infamous police tower stationed outside the parking lot. Even though I hate it and question the reason all the time to management, as to why we have it and how unconstitutional it is, they still allow the police to come and put it up every once in awhile.

Anyways, since we have the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie, one person who appeared to be in his late 40’s with slightly grayed hair, expected us to have the police tower up, but for some reason, that day we did not have it, which I was glad because I don’t like being spied on by Big Brother.   Continue reading “Sheeple: They walk among us, giving away our freedoms one step at a time”

Unemployment is almost back to normal, but the economy isn’t.

That isn’t because the unemployment rate is a conspiracy to make things look better than they really are. It’s because even though the unemployment rate tells us the most about the labor market, it doesn’t tell us the full story. All it does is show us how many people who are actively looking for work can’t find it. But that leaves out the “shadow unemployed” who want full-time jobs but have either given up looking for them or can only find part-time ones. That usually doesn’t make that big a difference, but it does now, because, even six years after the crisis has ended, there still isn’t much that’s usual about this economy.   Continue reading “Economists have discovered how bad the economy really is”

Chapple Hill Bank Gun Welcome SignBreitbart – by Bob Milford

Almost four and a half years ago, a small bank in a small town northwest of Houston posted a sign on their front door. Chappell Hill Bank had been robbed five times over the years, every time, according to Bank President Edward Smith “by Yankees”. In 2010, Smith ordered the sign for the door, and things have been “different” since then.

In an exclusive interview Monday with Breitbart Texas, Smith says the bank hasn’t been robbed at gun point since, and if anything, could now be the best promoted banking operation in the Lone Star State.   Continue reading “Texas Banker: ‘Guns Welcome Sign — Best Thing I Ever Did’”

The Army reporting that the mysterious death of Army Specialist Kendrick Sneed on January 13th has been solved. Tests revealed the soldier, who had just recently returned from West Africa, died from smoking a dangerous drug compound and not from Ebola.

The 24 year old Sneed had just returned from deployment to West Africa helping establish treatment centers in the Ebola epidemic and when his body was found in the front yard of his apartment, fearing the worst, Hazmat teams were called in to recover his body and decontaminate a possible infectious situation. Sneed’s belongings were collected in red Hazmat bags.     Continue reading “Fort Hood Soldier Who Returned from West Africa Died from ‘Spice’ not Ebola”

Sen Brian BirdwellBreitbart – by Bob Price

AUSTIN, Texas – Members of the Texas Senate passed a border security measure that significantly raises the level of spending in the state’s effort to secure the Texas border with Mexico. The bill (SB 3) by Senator Brian Birdwell (R-Granbury) passed with massive bipartisan support in a vote of 26-4.

“Now that the Texas Senate has overwhelmingly passed its state budget, funding border security at historic levels ($811 million), it was the appropriate time to pass SB 3,” said Lt. Governor Dan Patrick (R) in response to an inquiry from Breitbart Texas. ”Border security has always been a top priority as indicated in our budget which spends nearly $250 million more in border security than the House budget. As Lt. Governor this issue will continue to be my highest priority.” Continue reading “Texas Senate Passes $811 Million Border Security Measure”
