Seattle, WA — Three men have now come forward and accused Seattle Mayor Ed Murray of sexually abusing them when they were children in the 1980’s. Delvonn Heckard, one of the alleged victims, filed a lawsuit against the mayor this month, setting off a firestorm of controversy for the mayor now accused of pedophilia.

Heckard claims Murray abused him when he was a teen. According to the Seattle Times, the mayor “sexually abused the crack-cocaine addicted teen on numerous occasions for payments of $10 to $20” starting in 1986 when the boy was just 15 years old. “Two other men, Jeff Simpson and Lloyd Anderson, also have said Murray sexually abused them as teenagers while living in Portland in the early 1980s. They have not filed lawsuits.”   Continue reading “Victims Come Forward Alleging Seattle Mayor Raped Them as Kids, Expose Police Cover-Up”

Call it Canada’s “New Century” moment.

We first introduced readers to the company we said was the “tip of the iceberg in Canada’s magnificent housing bubblenearly two years ago, in July 2015 when we exposed a major problem that we predicted would haunt Home Capital Group, Canada’s largest non-bank mortgage lender: liar loans in particular, and a generally overzealous lending business model with little regard for fundamentals. In the interim period, many other voices – most prominently noted short-seller Marc Cohodes – would constantly remind traders and investors about the threat posed by HCG.   Continue reading “Canada’s Housing Bubble Explodes As Its Biggest Mortgage Lender Crashes Most In History”

Charlotte, NC — Dramatic body camera footage was released this week showing officers pile on top of a suspect, hold a gun to his head, beat him into the earth, and threaten to kill him. The unarmed suspect’s only ‘crime’ was running away from police. To add insult to assault with a deadly weapon, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is defending the actions of the four officers who were caught on camera punching, elbowing, and threatening to shoot the unarmed man, James Yarborough, in the head.   Continue reading ““I will kill you” — Cops Hold Pistol to Unarmed Man’s Head, Severely Beat Him”

The Trump administration is considering an executive order on withdrawing the U.S. from NAFTA, according to two White House officials.

A draft order has been submitted for the final stages of review and could be unveiled late this week or early next week, the officials said. The effort, which still could change in the coming days as more officials weigh in, would indicate the administration’s intent to withdraw from the sweeping pact by triggering the timeline set forth in the deal.   Continue reading “White House readies order on withdrawing from NAFTA”

Gaithersburg, MD — Guns Loaded? Check… Extra Ammunition? Check… Bullet-proof protective vests? Check… Right home address? Uh oh! In yet another SWAT Team flub, a home has been raided, and its occupants beaten. However, once again, the police went to the wrong address.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office in Gaithersburg admits they got it all wrong when they burst into Israel Orellana’s home in Montgomery County. Orellana has the same name as the man police were searching for in a gun theft case. But still, incredibly, Carroll County got a warrant to search the wrong address. Worse yet, the group of people gathered in the home were church goers who were spending the night socializing and praying.   Continue reading “SWAT Mistakes Prayer Group for Gun Thieves, Raid Wrong Home, Detain 14yo Girl in Bathroom”

New Orleans — Sometimes the headline says it all. On Monday, the Washington Post ran an article titled “New Orleans removes a tribute to ‘the lost cause of the Confederacy’ — with snipers standing by.” The piece opens:

“On the same day that some southern states were honoring their rebel heritage, masked workers in New Orleans dismantled a monument to that past — chunk by chunk, under darkness and the protection of police snipers.”   Continue reading “Snipers Protect Workers in New Orleans as They Remove Confederate Statue”

Milwaukee, WI — There’s very little doubt among critics as to whether or not solitary confinement is torture. Nevertheless, the practice continues throughout many of the nation’s prisons. But when solitary confinement is combined with deprivation of the basic necessities of life, like water, a murder can take place. That’s what many people are calling what happened at the Milwaukee County Jail to Terrill Thomas.

Thomas was forced into solitary confinement and then his water was cut off — for over 7 days.

After last night’s announcement of ~20% tariffs on softwood lumber imported from Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau lashed out at the Trump administration saying the U.S. could suffer from a “thickening” border as trade tensions between the two countries escalated, sending the Canadian currency to a 14 month low.

As a reminder, the United States announced it would impose preliminary anti-subsidy duties averaging 20 percent on imports of Canadian softwood lumber, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said on Monday, escalating a long-running trade dispute between the two neighbors. The move, which affects some $5.66 billion worth of imports of the construction material, sets a tense tone as the two countries and Mexico prepare to renegotiate the 23-year-old North American Free Trade Agreement.   Continue reading “An Angry Canada Responds To Trump’s Lumber Tariff… And What It Means For The Economy”

People’s World, the bilingual news site of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA), reports on April 19, 2017, that CPUSA “has been receiving membership requests ever since Donald Trump was elected President.”

Emile Schepers, CPUSA’s International Secretary and an anthropologist by profession who was born in South Africa, told Granma International that “Although the phantom of the McCarthy era still looms across the U.S., there is growing interest in communist ideas. The global financial crisis affected many people and left the sense that today’s youth are worse off than their parents. Neither recent Democratic nor Republican administrations have been able to resolve the serious problems affecting the majority of the country’s citizens. Although the United States is in no way experiencing a pre-revolutionary situation in the communist sense, capitalism is showing terminal signs worldwide.”   Continue reading “After losing 2016 election, Democrats are defecting to Communist Party USA”

Research conducted by a team of Scandinavian scientists came to a startling conclusion regarding the DTP vaccine, which is supposed to protect children from diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus. Though they found that the vaccine can prevent those diseases, it does so at a terrible cost.

The research, which was partly funded by the Danish government, derived its data from a vaccination campaign conducted in the African nation of Guinea Bissau during the 1980’s. Initially, the campaign offered parents the opportunity to have their babies weighed every 3 months, and in 1981 they started giving out DTP vaccines during these sessions. Because the babies were only allowed to be vaccinated at a certain age, some were not vaccinated, which created the perfect control group.   Continue reading “Scientists Find That Babies Who Are Given DTP Vaccine Are up to 10 Times More Likely to Die”
