Last weekend the city of Minneapolis unleashed the greatest plan ever devised by leftists, to stunt the plague of gun violence that is ravaging their city. They of course, did what any unimaginative gun grabber would do.

They decided to hold a gun buyback program at a local fire station. This however wasn’t an ordinary gun buyback. In this case, the weapons that would be bought from the residents of Minneapolis, would be donated to local artists, so that they could use the guns to make a statement about the devastating impact of gun violence.   Continue reading “Minneapolis Gun Buypack Program Purchases Piece of Wood and Pipe”

The Drug Enforcement Administration on Tuesday announced its intention to temporarily ban the chemicals contained in kratom, a popular herbal supplement that has been widely used as a way to self-treat chronic pain, post-traumatic stress disorder, and a number of other conditions.

Kratom, a plant from Southeast Asia that activates some of the same receptors as opioids, can be easily purchased online and in smoke shops. Although consumers have embraced the supplement as a painkiller and in some cases as a replacement for opioids, physicians worry about users who turn to kratom to try to wean themselves off opioids without seeking professional help. They also worry that it may be adulterated, given how little the substance is regulated.

Mexico is the ultimate debate fodder for American gun rights activists. That’s because you probably couldn’t come up with a better example of what happens when a country restricts gun ownership for law-abiding citizens, while failing to disarm and imprison violent criminals. The results of that are predictable. On one side of the border, there is relative peace and prosperity. On the other side, drug cartels practically own the government and act against a mostly unarmed population with impunity.   Continue reading “Mexican Official Pleads With Congress To Ban Assault Weapons”
