Kimble County, TX — Kimble County Sheriff Hilario Cantu is taking fire in the form of criticism after he opened fire on an innocent man, dumping 10 rounds into him and his truck. Quite unlike what the general public would face, in the form of criminal charges, Cantu will likely face no charges, serve no time in jail, and will potentially not even be disciplined for shooting up the wrong moving vehicle. What started out as a traffic stop for a missing license plate nearly turned deadly for both one police officer and one hapless innocent bystander.  Continue reading “Sheriff Mistakes Innocent Man for Suspect, Dumps 10 Rounds Into Him—NO CHARGES”

Following what many have described as the most violent weekend yet after 86 days, or 13 weeks of pro-Democracy protests in Hong Kong, which have led to the arrest of at least 1,117 residents, where the local police is now deploying water cannon in response to “rioters” using petrol bombs, China appears to have finally had enough and on Sunday, Beijing issued a stern ultimatum to not only Hong Kong protesters, but also the West on Sunday, reiterating that it will not tolerate any attempt to undermine Chinese sovereignty over the city.   Continue reading “China’s Xinhua Issues Ultimatum: “End Is Coming” For Hong Kong Protesters”

Employees at the Three Square Market in Rivers Falls, WI actually celebrated by wearing “I Got Chipped” t-shirts after they were implanted with microchips by their bosses.

The microchips are the size of a grain of rice, and they were embedded into the hands of employees for Three Square Market, a vending company that makes kiosks to dispense food and beverages. It was done supposedly for the purposes of convenience, and employees’ hands can now be read to verify their identity.  Continue reading “Workers in Wisconsin Wear ‘I Got Chipped’ T-Shirts Celebrating New Implants”

Palantir’s technology was developed in warzones like Fallujah, where it was used to anticipate roadside bombs and attacks by insurgents. Now, it’s being used on the streets of Los Angeles to root out criminals like something straight out of the movie “Minority Report.”

Unsurprisingly, the privately-held tech firm is backed by the CIA’s venture-capital arm. Now, the company has gathered massive amounts of data on the American populace, which it farms out to police departments, who use it to track down criminals before they strike.  Continue reading “How CIA-Backed Palantir Is Helping Police Root Out ‘Thought Crimes’”

The Palestinian Authority has announced that it will cease to recognize the division of the West Bank into three areas of differing Israeli and Palestinian control, and will lay claim to the entire territory.

The pronouncement, if acted upon, will end the current division of the West Bank into areas A, B, and C, as set forth in the Oslo Accords, signed by the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) and Israel in 1993 and 1995.  Continue reading “Collision course with Israel? Honolulu, HI — For years, the Free Thought Project has been reporting on case after case of police officers caught raping, molesting, and abusing their victims. We haven’t seen this sort of seismic activity on the west coast in a very long time.  Last month, two monster earthquakes in southern California were followed by thousands upon thousands of aftershocks, and the shaking still hasn’t stopped.  Scientists tell us that the San Andreas fault is “locked and loaded” and that it could potentially “unzip all at once” without any warning at all.  But meanwhile, another ominous threat is looming farther north.  As you will see below, more than 4,500 earthquakes have rattled the Cascadia Subduction Zone over the last two weeks, and that includes a magnitude 6.3 quake that struck off the coast of Oregon on Thursday.  The following comes from the official USGS website…  Continue reading “Magnitude 6.3 Quake Off The Oregon Coast Raises Concerns That The Cascadia Subduction Zone Could Soon Rupture”

Atlanta, GA — Police officers beat people on video, a lot. And, more often than not, the officers will keep their jobs in spite of video evidence of the attack. However, an attack on a teenager by an Atlanta cop was so egregious that it did, in fact, cost him his job. And now, it is costing him his freedom. Officer Matthew Johns was indicted on eight felonies for the savage beating of a 15-year-old boy last year and this week, he was sentenced to 20 years. A New Jersey police department has unveiled technology that allows 911 operators to stream video from callers’ smartphones. Sounds like a good idea, at first – but where does the surveillance stop?

Gloucester Township Police’s new 911eye emergency dispatch system lets emergency service operators see video live-streamed from a caller’s phone, giving first responders an idea of what they’re getting into before anyone is sent to the scene. For now, the caller has to activate the livestream with a link sent by the 911 dispatcher, which allows operators to use the phone’s camera and microphone. But this is the first step down a very slippery slope.  Continue reading “New Jersey cops turn citizens’ phones into surveillance devices – for their own good, of course”
