Eugene, OR – In the state of Oregon, where marijuana was recently legalized, a government agency has rejected food donations for the holidays because the donations came on the behalf of a marijuana-related organization. A group called Women Leaders in Cannabis was able to raise considerable food donations for people in need and initially their contributions were accepted by Oregon’s Department of Human Services.

However, the agency later changed their mind and decided that they did not want to accept the donations because they did not want to be associated with a substance that is now legal in the state.   Continue reading “Govt Denies Hungry Families Thanksgiving Food Because A Pro-Cannabis Group Donated It”

Parents who don’t immunize their kids will stop receiving childcare benefits next year in Australia. Only people with solid medical reasons will be exempt from the crackdown.

The new “no jab, no pay” rules are expected to save more than AUS$500 million (US$350 million) over four years.

The changes take effect on January 1, 2016 after legislation passed the Senate on Monday, with the backing of Labor, the Greens and crossbench senators.   Continue reading “Anti-vaccine parents to stop receiving childcare benefits under Australian ‘no jab, no pay’ law”

So much for science and education: clock boy and Islamist Ahmed Mohamed is demanding $15 million be taken from the school system to be paid to him personally, along with written apologies, threatening he’ll sue if they don’t pay him his demand.

Given that the whole clock building thing was a sham, I would look forward to discovery in such a lawsuit.   Continue reading “Clock boy demands millions from school system, threatens lawsuit”

Let’s say you have a certain someone on your list who is really into biohacking. Let’s also assume you’re Ok with having discoid roaches in the house. Then also let’s assume you don’t mind people operating on those roaches on your dining room table. Have I got a Christmas gift idea for you!

We first talked about the Roboroach back in 2011 when we found the idea to be weird and repellent. Arguably the idea is still weird and repellent but it is also an incredible experiment in neuroscience and a great way to teach STEM to potentially bored kids.   Continue reading “The Roboroach Is Either The Best Or Worst Holiday Gift Ever”

At least 16 people were shot in New Orleans, Louisiana when gunmen opened fire on a crowd of hundreds of people gathered in a playground for a video filming. Local media describe a chaotic scene, with the injured on the ground and ambulances rushing away.

At least 10 of the injured shooting victims have been hospitalized to the University Medical Center, local channel WWLTV reports.

Reporters working on the scene said the crowd of about 500 also included kids and teens.

No kids were reportedly injured, but a number of teens have been taken to hospital.

Conflicting reports citing witnesses said there could have been several – at least two – attackers firing at the crowd.

New Orleans Mayor, Mitch Landrieu, and the city’s police chief arrived at the scene of the shooting and gave a brief press conference.

Earlier reports pointed out that the Nine Times Second Line parade had passed one or two blocks away from the playground not long before the shooting. It was not immediately clear if there was a connection between the two, but some of the people at the event have been described as after-party-goers.

Whether mass shootings are approached as the mainstream reports them, or as false flags, staged scenarios, or outright hoaxes, there is a common thread which runs through some of them: official training exercises held just prior to, or at the same time as, the shootings.   Continue reading “Training Exercises Dovetail With Mass Shootings – What Are The Odds?”

The son of a New York mob boss has given Islamic State a stark warning, saying if they are planning any attacks in New York, they will have to contend with the Sicilian mafia. The notorious crime syndicate say they want to do their bit to protect locals.

Giovanni Gambino, the son of a key figure in the Gambino mob organization, says the mafia is in a much better position than security bodies, such as the FBI or Homeland Security, to give New Yorkers the protection they need.    Continue reading “Gangs of New York: Sicilian mafia offers Big Apple protection from ‘psychopathic’ ISIS”

Someday in the not too distance future, our kids aren’t going to know what real food is. It’ll be a myth, like magical flying unicorns. They barely do now, considering all of the five-syllable petrochemicals, excitotoxins, and artificial crap most of our grocery stores are filled with, not to mention tons of unlabeled, pesticide-producing and doused genetically modified crops like corn and soy which are found in everything these days. The words “all natural” must be the most used and abused (and utterly meaningless) two words ever printed on a food package.   Continue reading “In First Ever Animal Case, Feds Approve Unlabeled Genetically Modified Salmon ss “Fit For Consumption””

This is getting laughable. Ridiculous even. Stupid to the point of brain death. Moronic to the point of forgetting to breathe.

First of all, ISIS™ has a nice, slick magazine full of all sorts of colorful images, ads and advice to the up-and-coming young professional terrorists out there. It’s called Dabiq and on the cover of this months publication it says ‘JUST TERROR”… in English of course.   Continue reading “Behold! The ISIS™ Schweppes Bomb of Doom!”

More than 500 weapons have been “lost or stolen” from six local police departments, the California Highway Patrol and the Drug Enforcement Agency in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2010, a probe has found.

A gun used by an undocumented immigrant in the July murder of San Francisco resident Kate Steinle was traced to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). It had been stolen earlier this year from a ranger’s vehicle. KNTV, a Bay Area NBC affiliate, looked into how many weapons the BLM has misplaced. The results were only the tip of the iceberg.   Continue reading “Where are the guns? Probe finds hundreds of Bay Area police weapons missing”

The number of Mexicans living in the US has dropped by more than a million in less than a decade, marking a historic shift: more Mexican migrants now leave the States than enter. In most of those cases, rejoining family was the reason to move back home.

Between 2009 and 2014, 1 million Mexicans, including their US-born children, have left America. During the same period, an estimated 870,000 Mexicans came to the United States, Pew Research Center’s latest analysis of government data from both the US and Mexico showed.   Continue reading “More Mexican migrants leave the US than enter – study”
