Texas GOP Vote – by Bob Price

Update:  Cruz-Lozano was arraigned today on charges of threatening Sheriff.  Held on $2million Bond.

As the debate of gun control crescendos across America, there are signs of a potentially major development in the murder case of US Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. Yesterday, the Hidalgo County Texas Sheriff’s Department arrested a Mexican national, Gustavo Cruz-Lozano, on charges of making terroristic threats against Sheriff Lupe Treviño on July 25th of last year. My sources said that Cruz-Lozano has told the sheriff’s investigators that he was the shooter in the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

Among the 23 “executive actions” President Obama announced yesterday amidst great fanfare (and shameless exploitation of children) is this:

“Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.”

Obama may want to put a hold on that one, until he comes to grips with what happened the last time a U.S. president tried it.

By now many people have probably heard about or have seen the on air confrontation between CNN talk show host Piers Morgan and radio host Alex Jones.  The discussion between Morgan and Jones if you even want to call it that largely consisted of Jones behaving like a loud mouthed monkey as they debated the different sides of the gun control issue.  This bizarre incident like other media spectacles that Jones has been involved in seems to be nothing more than another staged event to further the personality cult of Alex “Jim” Jones and to boost Morgan’s pitiful television ratings.  Unfortunately, there are many people who still believe that Jones is an honest man promoting freedom and fighting corruption when past history clearly shows us that this is not the case.

A shotgun and the 2nd Amendment has saved the day for this Texas man after confronting a burgler who had struck his house and neighborhood on several different occasions. This is another story I will guarantee won’t get any play on the national mainstream media because it doesn’t fit their political agenda. This confrontation was caught on camera for the entire world to see one of the benefits of the 2nd Amendment. Thankfully, the ‘perp’ in this story understood self-preservation as well and did nothing to escalate the encounter.

Gloversville, New York mayor Dayton King has come out strongly against new New York gun laws, dramatically predicting that they will lead to a ‘Waco-Style’ standoff between law abiding New Yorkers and ‘the law’ attempting to take away guns from them.

“Most people are law-abiding citizens and may go ahead and sell those or turn those over, but you’re going to have a fraction of people that are going to take a stand, and I can just predict a Waco-style standoff in some rural area and it’s not going to end well,” said Mayor King.

The Organic Prepper – by Daisy Luther

There’s definitely something in the water, and none of it is good.  There is so much garbage in our water that you practically need an advanced degree in chemistry to just to figure it out.  It’s not a subject that can be ignored, though, because water is the most vital and life-sustaining substance that we can store. We want to store the most pure, high-quality consumables that we can, in order to maintain our optimum wellness during any type of disaster scenario, and that includes the water we store.

Most preppers know the “Survival Rule of Three”:

Every civilization and every generation has their defining voices.

The voice does two things. It tells the story of the times; and it injects the telltale emotions, moods, and attitudes of that story.

The public swallows the tale with all its lies and omissions, and accepts the way in which the whole act is spooled out by the sound of the narrative voice.

The tone of the story creates a trance.

North Haven, CT –-(Ammoland.com)- Two of the keys to successful personal defensive training are selecting a properly-equipped firearm that you can depend on, and a trainer who has the real-world experience to prepare you to confidently use that defensive tool.

One of the great myths of modern society is that the police are heavily armed and have both ammo and personnel in huge numbers. In reality, it’s quite the opposite: police and sheriffs are dangerously under-staffed all across the country in nearly every city and town. Furthermore, severe budget cuts have left law enforcement with dwindling ammunition supplies. In some departments, it’s so bad that nearly the only ammo available is what officers are carrying on their duty belts.

When will the insanity end? Two 6-year old children have been suspended from school for pointing their fingers at each other as if they were playing cops and robbers. Meanwhile, another school has been locked down due to a Nerf toy gun. When will enough be enough? Why do I have a bad feeling that another false flag is right around the corner?

In an 11-year study by scientists at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, there was a strong positive correlation found between degeneration of kidney function and consumption of aspartame-containing diet soda.

Published in the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, the study followed 3,318 women for a number of years as they consumed diet soda containing artificial sweeteners like Aspartame. Scientists took into account each participant’s age, blood pressure, smoking habits (when applicable), and pre-existing conditions like heart disease or diabetes, and administered food frequency questionnaires in 1984, 1986, 1990, 1994, and 1998. Two or more diet drinks daily, it was found, led to a doubled risk in fast-paced kidney decline.

Times are changing for retail companies. Technology is evolving faster than ever, the economy is still slowly recovering from a major recession, and social media is a major part of both marketing and personal life.

These have become the major factors companies have had to accommodate. Those that were unable to have run up against dissatisfied customers, shareholders, and employees.

Maybe you’re one of those people who doesn’t think you’ll ever need a gun – or want one.

After all, all one has to do in 21st century America is call 911 when you’re faced with danger, right?

The first time I realized I needed a gun was as a young man living in a nice section of Los Angeles. It was not the kind of neighborhood in which one expected to experience a home invasion. Yet, one night, that’s what I was faced with. It started with a knock on the door – a very solid, wooden door with only a peephole that permitted me to check out the visitor.
