Washington (AFP) – US Senator John McCain, who is fighting an aggressive form of brain cancer, was in a military hospital Wednesday to treat “normal side effects” of his therapy, his office said.

Leaders of 25 European Union states have signed the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) pact that will see them undertake more joint projects and increase their defense budgets with the idea to likely create a permanent EU army.

Big Pharma’s subtle propaganda comes in many forms. Those tuning in to mainstream media programs will be subjected to nightly advertisements, many of which feature highly addictive and dangerous antidepressants. But a recent news story warning that 3-year-olds could be suffering from depression and should be evaluated by doctors shows that the industry will stop at nothing until all Americans are on drugs.

NBC’s feature story on depression used scare tactics in its title to imply and suggest a national depression crisis among toddlers. “Generation at risk: America’s youngest facing mental health crisis,” the title reads. While the nation is facing an opiate crisis caused by Big Pharma’s highly addictive production and distribution of opiates, one would be hard-pressed to find many Americans who believe the nation’s toddlers and children are mentally ill.

Turkey’s foreign minister has suggested that his country will consider opening an embassy in East Jerusalem once an independent Palestinian state is internationally recognized.

Speaking on Thursday, Mevlut Cavusoglu said there is a “serious determination” among the international community to recognize Palestine. WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Internet service providers clashed with Democrats and celebrities like “Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill ahead of a vote on the Trump administration’s plan to revoke net neutrality rules barring the blocking or slowing of internet traffic.

The National Rifle Association (NRA), which fancies itself a champion of the Second Amendment and gun rights, is nowhere to be found as state governments are moving to confiscate firearms from medical marijuana patients.

Police in Honolulu, Hawaii, recently sent out a letter to 30 medical cannabis patients warning them they had 30 days to hand over their guns. When medical cannabis becomes legal in Ohio in 2018, patients will not be permitted to own or possess firearms. Transgender recruits will be able to join the U.S. military as of Jan. 1 after a federal judge on Monday denied a request by President Donald Trump’s administration to enforce his ban on transgender troops while the government appeals an order blocking it.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. Treasury Department on Monday released a one-page analysis of the economic and fiscal impact of a Republican tax overhaul plan that was swiftly criticized by a number of tax experts and attacked as “fake math” by Democrats.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the withdrawal of Russian troops from Syria. He announced the move during his first visit to the country, as he arrived with no advance notice at Khmeimim Airbase in Syria’s Latakia province on Monday morning.

A “significant part” of the Russian military contingent in Syria should return to Russia, Putin announced, addressing Russian military personnel at Khmeimim.
