One way cancer develops in breast tissue is through the cancer-resistant protein (BCRP/ABCG2), but there is a way to effectively block this protein, both preventing and treating already existent cancer. Actually, just one food (actually, compound) which you might already eat (or drink) has the ability to inhibit that protein from being taken up by the body and spreading cancerous cells as a ‘side population.’ It’s called falcarinol, and it occurs naturally in carrots.

This is information someone named Ann Cameron already knows. She treated Stage 4 cancer with the use of carrots, and she did it without chemotherapy, radiation, or other drastic dietary changes.   Continue reading “Woman Uses Carrot Juice to Beat Stage 4 Cancer!”

BEIRUT— Islamic State militants heavily shelled a Kurdish town on Syria’s border with Turkey on Friday as jihadi fighters prepared an all-out offensive for the strategic site, whose capture would provide a direct link between areas under their control in Aleppo and their stronghold in Raqqa to the east.

The fighting came as Turkey’s prime minister pledged his country would do what it could to prevent the fall of Kobani, although he did not spell out what assistance Turkey would provide. Turkey’s parliament gave the government new powers Thursday to launch military incursions into Syria and Iraq, and to allow foreign forces to use its territory for possible operations against the Islamic State group.   Continue reading “Heavy Fighting Hits Syrian Border Town”

The owners of a farm in upstate New York were fined $10,000 plus $3,000 in damages after they declined to host a same-sex wedding ceremony on their property. Now they’re fighting back.

Cynthia and Robert Gifford open up their farm property every autumn and host fall festivities to supplement their income. The Giffords live in a barn they built on the farm; occasionally, they also allow the bottom portion of their barn and the backyard area to be used for weddings.   Continue reading “Couple Fined $10,000 After Refusing to Host Same-Sex Marriage on their Farm”

When Cody Wilson revealed the world’s first fully 3-D printed gun last year, he showed that the “maker” movement has enabled anyone to create a working, lethal firearm with a click in the privacy of his or her garage. Now he’s moved on to a new form of digital DIY gunsmithing. And this time the results aren’t made of plastic.

Wilson’s latest radically libertarian project is a PC-connected milling machine he calls the Ghost Gunner. Like any computer-numerically-controlled (or CNC) mill, the one-foot-cubed black box uses a drill bit mounted on a head that moves in three dimensions to automatically carve digitally-modeled shapes into polymer, wood or aluminum. But this CNC mill, sold by Wilson’s organization known as Defense Distributed for $1,200, is designed to create one object in particular: the component of an AR-15 rifle known as its lower receiver.   Continue reading “The $1,200 Machine That Lets Anyone Make a Metal Gun at Home”

On 60 Minutes, President Obama flatly stated the US plan for Syria leaves no room for President Assad, the democratically-elected leader of the country. As Obama backs away from his “no boots on the ground” promise, he drops a bomb on the American people as big as any that have hit Syria. Image credit: wikimedia.org

Now that the US has its own “Ebola case number 1” in isolation at a Dallas hospital, it can swing into gear tracking his/her contacts, and the contacts of those contacts.

Never mind that “case number 1” is unproven as an Ebola carrier (see my previous piece, “Is 1st US Ebola patient a hoax?”).

Who cares? It’s hunt and search and isolate in America. And if this campaign gains real steam, the Surveillance State will be deployed, as a “friend of the people.”    Continue reading ““Tracking Ebola contacts”: call in the Surveillance State”

Lt. Col. George Bivens points to images of the pipe bombs that police say were left by trooper ambush suspect Eric Frein in the Pennsylvania woods, at...Yahoo News

BLOOMING GROVE, Pa. (AP) — The discovery of two powerful pipe bombs during a manhunt in the Pennsylvania woods indicates the fugitive wanted in an ambush on state troopers is stressed out and making mistakes, authorities said as they repeated a call for him to surrender.

The explosives were not deployed, but they were fully functional and capable of causing significant damage, state police Lt. Col. George Bivens said Tuesday.   Continue reading “Police say ambush suspect is making errors”
