A mass email from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Sunday tried to drum up support by warning President Obama is in danger of impeachment, or even worse, jail time.
The email – with subject line “Impeachment? Prison??? – Sign now, stand with President Obama” – claims Obama “took bold, courageous action this week to fix our nation’s broken immigration system,” but now is “under attack.” Continue reading “Dems warn backers: Obama could go to prison!”
A Palestinian group says Palestinian minors have been subjected to sexual abuse by Israeli forces during detention or investigation.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club (PPC) said some 40 percent of Palestinian children are reportedly subjected to sexual abuse during interrogation.

Scores of Department of Homeland Security vehicles have been spotted 25 minutes outside of town and the Governor of Missouri has already declared a state of emergency in anticipation of the fallout should officer Darren Wilson be exonerated.National Guard units have been called up and one law enforcement official has advised residents to be armed because the police department will not be able to protect the town’s citizens should violence erupt. Everyone knows the government, with its lapdog mainstream media in lockstep, has whipped up the Ferguson situation into a total frenzy.
It doesn’t matter what the grand jury decides now. Fear and anger are very powerful weapons and everyone who has allowed the powers that (shouldn’t) be to steer their emotions on this one has taken the bait.
The cops have stocked up on nearly $200k worth of riot gear, less-lethal ammunition and the like. Ferguson residents have been advised to go get guns because the cops won’t be able to protect them all from what’s coming. Firearm sales in the area have skyrocketed. Everyone is on edge. Jay Nixon declared a state of emergency ahead of the grand jury announcement in the Michael Brown shooting, south St. Louis residents grew concerned when they saw the National Guard setting up at a lot behind the Quik Trip near the intersection of Chippewa and Gravois.

Legislators plan to meet the day after Thanksgiving for a final update from the Parnell administration on the proposed natural gas pipeline. But they won’t be allowed to attend unless they sign a secrecy pledge.
While some lawmakers will decline to take the pledge, the Legislature arrived at this point because of a 69-page Parnell administration bill it approved overwhelmingly last spring that stresses secrecy on key details about the proposed Alaska Liquefied Natural Gas project. If there is anything good to be said about mass surveillance, overcharging and monopolization by telecom/ISP companies, and government censorship including cell phone and Internet shutdowns as they see fit, it is that these heavy-handed measures only create a stronger desire for freedom.
For many in the modern world, open access to the World Wide Web is being viewed as an essential human right – it is a gateway to knowledge, peer-to-peer communication, innovation and economic opportunity. Basically: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. For the 5 billion people who still do not have access, it represents the universal dream of self-determination.
