Baghdad, Iraq (CNN) — Militant fighters tightened their grip Sunday on western Iraq as security forces withdrew from a handful of towns in Anbar province, moving closer to Baghdad.

Today on NBC Meet The Press with David Gregory, Israeli Prime Minister appeared to discuss the Iraq crisis, kidnapped Israelis and the divest movement against his country for engaging in Apartheid policies in the occupied territories. If I have but one complaint when I go outside to soak in the splendor of the heavens at night, it’s that I can only see one small part of the sky at once.

Nine Syrian military targets have been hit by Israeli jets and guided missiles, the IDF says, claiming it was a decisive response to a series of cross-border shootings to protect the citizens of Israel.

One year ago the Obama administration was doing their very best to build up public support for U.S. military intervention in Syria. Even though that attempt failed, no one who has been following this crisis closely believed for a moment that this was the end. They would regroup and try again from another angle.

Just when it appeared that the United Nations could not be more ineffective in protecting Palestinian rights and holding Israel accountable for violating them, here comes the news that Israel has been elected as vice-chair of the UN Special Commitee on Decolonization – which deals among other things with matters related to Palestinian refugees.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Hundreds of immigrant families caught crossing the border may be coming to New Mexico.
Deacon Thomas Baca is the executive director of Catholic Charities and told KFOX14 that nearly 300 immigrant families are in need of housing.

A Texas man is standing defiant after he claims he was told by his apartment complex that he had to remove an American flag from his balcony because it was a “threat towards the Muslim community.”
Duy Tran told KHOU that he has friends who died for the country, so he decided to hang one from his balcony after moving into a new apartment in Webster, Texas. However, he said that soon after he hung the flag, he was told by his apartment complex manager he had to remove it. As per observations in the third month of the year 2013, Forbes magazine reports that the number of billionaires has reached a high of 1,426 individuals worth a sum total of $5.4 trillion, with USA carrying the lion’s share of 442 and Asia following closely with 386 rich men and women.
The top five in the list of the very rich include the 73 year old $73 billion Mexican telecoms mogul, Carlos Slim Helu. Carlos is followed by the 57 year old $67 billion Microsoft computer philanthropist American, Bill Gates. The 76 year old Amancio Ortega in Spain comes third with his $57 billion Zara empire.
