One Christmas in the late 50s my parents got me a Have gun will travel pistol set. I think it came with a hat too. Westerns were a great childhood memory for me. Thanks Koyote.
i had my share of cap guns brother, i’ll tell ya……….. i had “injuns” stacked like cordwood outside. sometimes, i would shoot their asses in the kitchen and drag em outside, never making it to the door before the shit hit the fan …………………imagine my devistation to later learn i was “part” injun … my grandmother broke it to me gently, my school (civics) teacher told me that i was a part of the four “civilized” tribes in alabama, and gave me a stack of white mans books on the subject, while my uncles soundly disputed about half of what i read….i was never ever the same……………… lmao!!!
Loved the show! Thanks for posting! And one of the few songs I could actually play on guitar (by ear of course)…one regret in life was that I was born with short fingers and am slightly spastic…
I LOVED IT AS A KID, BUT I NOW SEE IT EVERY MORNING, ITS WAS BRAINWASHING FOR OUR GRAND PARENTS AND PARENTS, IE. THE MONEY SYSTEM AND THE COURT SYSTEM AS WELL AS GUN CONTROL. Paladin is a Jew cowboy/gunfighter!
I was born in 51 and watched these. Along with hopalong Cassidy and Roy Rodgers etc. It was of course a kind of good entertainment. One aspect of these actors that drew my attention was when they would act out reverse roles. ie. He was the hero, the protector and then the bad guy.
That threw me for a loop.
For example this same actor played the worst/baddest/most evil guy one could imagine in the movie Hombre, starring Paul Newman.

i liked richard boone until I seen an episode of this have gun will travel , & he wore a kike beanie , Openly !
‘Maverick’ & ‘The Rifleman’ were my favorite half-hour westerns. ‘Gunsmoke’ & ‘Bonanza’ as far as hour long shows.
