Introduced by Assembly Member Levine
February 04, 2020
An act to amend Section 2000 of, and to add Section 2001 to, the Elections Code, relating to elections.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL’S DIGEST
AB 2070, as introduced, Levine. Elections: compulsory voting.
Existing law authorizes every person who qualifies under the California Constitution and who complies with certain provisions governing the registration of electors to vote at any election held within the territory within which the person resides and the election is held.
This bill would instead require a person who qualifies and is registered to vote to cast a ballot, marked or unmarked in whole or in part, at every election held within the territory within which the person resides and the election is held. The bill would require the Secretary of State to enforce this requirement.

That’s funny……sounds like no one’s showing up to their silly elections anymore.
“….in compliance with this code shall cast a ballot, marked or unmarked in whole or in part,….”
You can still send it in blank, but they’ll probably fill it in for you, so it’s better to deface the thing before sending it back. Leave it on the bottom of the bird cage for a week, and then mail it in.
yes funny… turn outs must be waaaay down….. they are making their plight obvious with this bill……….unregister!
HAHAHAHA!!! Wow. So much for the freedom to choose whether to vote or not.
What if you don’t want to vote for any of the candidates? I’m sure they’ll just fill it in like Jolly Roger said. They just want an extra ballot cast so they can manipulate it afterwards. They have no one showing up to vote so they need more ballots to keep the fraud going.
They didn’t even do this in the old Soviet Union! The cusp of madness has nothing on this sort of desperation! Unregister!
Communism has so many costumes.
