i seem to remember the u.s. airforce experimenting with nucear bombers where a reactor heated steam that ran turbines inplace of engines.
they had to ditch it because they couldnt shield the pilots from the radiation!!!
The reactor system would be safe even after a crash it is sealed and strong enough to have a locomotive hit it and would survive. Look at tests done to containers and reactor protection.
i dont think they intend to build it like a 10ton truck.
