The Great Recession

Who says there is no recession anywhere in sight? It depends on where you are looking. In short, manufacturing remains in recession; corporate profits remain in recession; freight remains deep in recession; Carmageddon remains in recession; and the Retail Apocalypse remains a recession for brick-and-mortar stores, while employment — the last holdout — is now also turning downward. The Trump administration is expected to allow more than 100,000 seasonal guest workers into the United States this year, an increase of 45,000 over the standard that’s part of the H-2B visa program.

The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday night that the Department of Homeland Security will let in as many as 111,000 seasonal guest workers this summer. This would mark the highest level under President Donald Trump; last year, an additional 30,000 guest workers above the threshold of 66,000 were allowed in. US weapons worth $715 million dollars were warehoused poorly and soldiers handling them did not keep receipts or records, so it’s impossible to tell how many, if any, ended up in the wrong hands, the Pentagon says.

Supply units in Kuwait and elsewhere “did not maintain comprehensive lists of all equipment purchased and received” or “stored weapons outside in metal shipping containers, exposing the equipment to harsh environmental elements, such as heat and humidity.”  Continue reading “Pentagon expects US public to buy ‘we weren’t keeping inventory’ excuse about missing weapons sent to Syria, Iraq”

BELLEVUE, WA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Anti-gun billionaire Michael Bloomberg is continuing what appears to be an attempted “leveraged buyout” of the Second Amendment as Everytown for Gun Safety—the group he co-founded and bankrolled—has pledged to spend $8 million in Texas; just part of the $60 million that group has vowed to spend in order to elect anti-rights politicians this fall.

That’s the observation from the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Former New York City Mayor Bloomberg, seeking to buy his way into the White House by running for president as a Democrat, has weaponized his vast wealth to buy an election. New Castle, DE — As the Free Thought Project has reported numerous times, the only thing dangerous about marijuana is what happens when the police catch you with it. Marijuana will not kill you, but the police officers who find you with it just might. The violent arrest of a 16-year-old Delaware boy proves this notion. Now, the taxpayers of New Castle will be held liable because the officer who did the punching, was not.  Continue reading “Cops Smell Weed on 16yo Boy and Beat the Hell Out of Him—Taxpayers to Be Held Liable”
