Census Worker Harassment Update

Sent to us by Tracer.

Just wanted to give you an update on the census worker nonsense I’m dealing with.

Two days ago I needed paperclips so I loaded up the American Bulldog and Boxer and off we went. As I was pulling up to park, one car over and to the left of me was a silver car that was backed in with a female inside. I thought it looked familiar so I looked down at the plates and noticed they were the plates of the dreaded census worker! I proceeded into the store and got my paperclips and looked for a no trespassing sign, (they didn’t have any).

With paperclips in hand I walked out of the store, only to see that the nutty census worker had moved her car over to the right facing me so she would be the first thing I saw when I came out. I kept walking and thought I heard her say “hey!” I got into my car and here she came. That old bat walked right up to my car!

So….I rolled down the window and the first words out of her mouth were, “did you get the letter we sent?”

Although rage ensued instantly, I politely but firmly told her I wasn’t going to answer any of her questions. At that point, she took a step closer and I’ll be darned if my two dogs didn’t step in and let her know she had gone too far! Funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time!!

The American popped his head out of the window next to my headrest and the Boxer to my right and they both scared the bejeezus out of her to where she jumped back, grabbing her chest and saying “oooh!”

I’m not sure what else she was trying to ask because the dogs were barking viciously at her. I gave them the command to stop and let her know under no circumstances was she to set foot on my property and that I already gave her the only information I was going to. I drove away.

From what I’m seeing on the internet, I’m guessing the next step will be a visit from a supervisor, someone much more aggressive and of the male persuasion. Any thoughts?

Earlier postings:

I’ve numerous letters and the huge packet everyone was talking about a few years ago. It’s the one where they ask “what time do you leave for work?” “How much do you make a year?” “How many rooms?” “Is anyone depressed?”

I could go on and on. They actually sent a Census worker to the house and because I refused to answer all but one question, they sent a letter HAND DELIVERED by UPS stating that the same person would be coming back to get the info.

It said it should only take 40-45 minutes to fill out. I couldn’t believe the questions they were asking and after the where do you work, etc.. it went into the fireplace.

I just moved from a big city to a town with only about 300, to get the hell away from things and in less than 3 wks and of all people, the damn government was in my driveway!!!

I printed a copy of How to Legally Refuse to Participate in the Census Survey and am sending it back with the letter they sent me. It was hard to find, there’s not a lot of hoopla this year about it like a few years ago.

These people are out of their minds! I did read on WND (I think) about a woman who was stopped by a Census worker while at a bike park, on her bicycle, almost running her off the road. And from what I understood, it was recent and it sounds like the lunatic followed her there!

    1. Hi NC,
It absolutely true I had Henry post this only because I can’t believe I’ve been “chosen” for this harassment. I moved from Las Vegas, to another state to get away from all the crazies and here I am in a town of maybe 300 and I have a census worker crawling up my rear! Henry suggested some things that I may have to do (legally) and I totally agree but my it just ticks me off that I even have to go there. I’ll keep everyone posted.

  1. They must get some kind of commision for every form that’s filled in completely.
Many yrs. ago, say over 10, we mailed in our census, but somewhere it got lost in transport and never got to it’s destination.
Well, one day, here comes a lady, knock, knock, knock. I open the door, she tells me who she is. I told her we already mailed it in, and that it was their problem to find it. Well, she went on saying I had to refill the forms that she hand in her hand. Again, I said, not my problem, we mailed it, you deal with it.
Well, by this time she was huffy. I told her to get off my property, she’s not welcome, get off my property. Her response was that she was sending the police. I said, OK, go ahead, just leave my property.
Well, not a cop one ever showed.
Of course this was many yrs. ago, they may be much more militaristic now.
I’d say, just wait and see if the guy really shows up, he may not, although this lady sounds like a real commie, out to fulfill the orders of her commander.
Keep your dogs outside, so they won’t want to come near the entrance.
Thanks for keeping us informed as to details.

  2. 1st things 1st

you are not obligated to open your door to any of them ..that solves any issue you might have with them showing up at your door , they will slink away to go bug someone easy

By the way , Ive had plenty of Census papers sent to my home , not 1 of them have i ever filled out all went in the trash
never has anyone had the balls to show up at my door

they already know all of the info asked in those papers IMO

and , it sounds like you have a stalker.. maybe letting the cops know about her sick little follow you around game , and a talk to by the militant blue murderers , might just set her straight about harassment

    1. When she originally came, I could see her pulling into my driveway. I had no idea who it was so I brought the American bulldog out there with me. She stopped and rolled down the window and announced she was with the census bureau. The dog put his feet up on her window, smelled her, I called him off and then she started asking questions. And just a heads up, her EXACT words were “you don’t have to answer anything you don’t feel comfortable with” That’s when I interrupted her and told her only one person lives here and that was the only question I was going to answer. She started to say something else and then I told her anything else was public record and to go look it up. Then the trusty pup jumped up on her door and growled in her face. I called him back and we went into the house. What I should’ve done the other day at the store is call her out on the lie she told me in the first 30 seconds of her first visit and pointed out that’s why she wouldn’t be getting anymore information from me.

  3. There are now two types of Census efforts in the United States. There is the Census [of the people] required every 10 years and then there is the American Community Survey [of targeted addresses] that may happen throughout any given year (usually just before an election or during redistricting political maneuvers).

The American Community Survey (ACS) [of targeted addresses], once upon a time, WAS voluntary. In the ACS, your ‘address’ is ‘supposedly’ randomly selected – and your address cannot be removed from this ‘targeted’ list. It is NOT the ’10 Year Census’ [of people]. ‘They say’ it is now MANDATORY by law, because ‘they say’ it is now ‘part’ of the ’10 Year Census’.

Now then, since the 10 year Census [of the people] is legally mandatory, how does a ‘targeted survey of an address’ also be considered ‘legally mandatory’?

    American Community Survey:

    1. Great info., I did not know there was a community survey. This sounds like what Tracer is dealing with, because the next census is in 2020, this is the one outlined in the constitution.

    1. You could answer the door with your rifle slung on your side , a magazine in hand , and ask her “How many people would you say lives here? One? , two?”. She may be satisfied with one.

  4. They kept sending census gals to our small town with intrusive questions, but never bothered us. I found out why. My darn nosy neighbor told them all about us and our house and a few others people’s who also did not wish to participate past how many people live in the house. Not sure what she (nosy neighbor) told the workers as she hadn’t been in here since we gutted the inside. If they show up with refugees to live in my extra rooms that no longer exist, we’ll send them across the street to her house.

  5. “… the damn government was in my driveway!!!”

Well, technically it’s their driveway, but that’s beside the point.

The last census was the one they really nailed us with. GPS coordinates were taken at every door in every neighborhood, so the only relevant information they need anymore is a change of address.

Sounds like this @sswipe is a good little commie slave determined to please her superiors, regardless of who else she may alienate.

  6. In my experience, all you need to do for the 10 year survey is give them the number of people living at the address and say “I understand this is all the info you are allowed to collect, and that is all I will be giving you — period.” they may follow up further to get more info from you, but basically just tell them very firmly that they will not get any more info out of you and stop calling you and coming to your house.

For the other surveys, there is more than just the community survey. There are surveys about income, about spending, about health including personal medical info and vaccine compliance. You do not need to answer any questions on any of these surveys at all. Tell them “you refuse.” And if they ask for a reason, tell them “I refuse to answer and you need to go now. Do not call or come here again.” You may still get called by a supervisor, but if you answer that call, tell them “don’t call again.” And then block the number and/or identify it so you do not answer again.

They will only harass you for these community types of surveys for one entire month, and then they will give up. Because next month they get a whole new crop of “targeted addresses.”

Just be firm and say “I do not wish to answer that.” And do not give them any reason at all, because they will record your reason. “I just am not going to.” or “the reason is unknown.” That’s all.

But if you attempt to evade them by not answering the door or the phone, then you can expect to be harassed for the duration of that particular survey, until the next month or whatever, when the census worker gets a new batch of surveys.

The census workers are mostly civic-minded, well-meaning sheeple who truly do not understand how they are being used. Not commies per se but more like useful idiots or dupes.
