Problem is, it works. Much like the mere label “anti-Semitic” can be enough for an enforced career change in mid-accusation, putting you effectively out of the debate even if the other guy’s got blood dripping from his hands and is holding a smoking gun – “look at him! He’s a Conspiracy Theorist! He’s wearing a Tin Hat… “He’s anti-Semitic…”? Same thing.
