Hotels will have to adequately notify guests of gun restrictions or face penalties if a bill becomes law.

House Bill 333, authored by State Rep.Ryan Guillen, D-Rio Grande City, requires hotels that restrict the possession, storage or transporting of firearms to notify guests of such policies on their websites or when confirming reservations. Four lobbyists have registered to push for gun control in Salem Northwest Watchdog – by Shelby Sebens

Four Oregon lobbyists in Salem have registered as working for New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s gun control advocacy group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

According to the Oregon Government Ethics Commission, the group spent a whopping $781.59 during the first quarter of this year (January through March). The second quarter reports won’t be available until July.
